I am so happy this thread finally came about! So happy to read the messages, listen to the music and watch amazing VMs on this amazing character called Jalandhar, played to perfection by the one and only Mohit Raina!! Thank you Nikki, the entire team and each and every contributor to this thread for this pure awesomeness! 👏 🥳
When the Jalandhar track was even advertised, since then itself I started watching the show regularly and not just regularly! I was so curious and hooked to this extent that I watched it online, original telecast and all repeat telecasts even at late night and early mornings - plus those 6-7 hour long repeat telecasts of the DKDM on Life OK on weekends! 😆
I could NEVER get enough of Jalandhar and the debates his actions and questions stirred up in my mind! 😳
Jalandhar made me a fanatic of MOHIT RAINA - who I always thought of as miscast in DKDM! The way he played characters as contrasting as Mahadev and Jalandhar in the show simultaneously, it was AMAZING and STUPENDOUS! 👏
It was a pleasant surprise as this track brought back one of my favourite and most talented actresses on Indian Telly - Neha Marda - as Vrinda! 👍🏼
I can't tell how torn apart I feel as I use words like "was" for Jalandhar!! 😭 I still can't believe he is no more and everything relating to him as become "past tense" now! 🥺
Jalandhar shall forever remain in my memories, in fact he's the foremost memory I'll ever associate with DKDM! ❤️
I've already written a lot for him in my message which is contained in Pyar Ke Paighaam. I feel like I can go on and on writing about him...
This track taught me the difference between Divine and the rest, the just and the unjust and how once the wrong is done then it starts a cycle of "wrongs" from both Good and the Evil side.
It was a superlative depiction of the eternal battle between Id (impulse) and Superego (highest consciousness) in both the Good (aka Gods) and the Bad (aka Asurs) both individually and amongst each other!
I am happy to note that Utkarsh sir did not take an absolute black and white route while dealing with characters in the Jalandhar track. He allowed room for debate, questions and gave weightage to both sides. Take a bow for that sir! 👏
Thunderous applause for the entire Team DKDM for this superb track! You guys have no idea what you accomplished in last 3 months or so! Nothing can top this! 👏
