Dear Ela,
I think the scene after Vrinda's death is going to be even more gutwrenching than yesterday's Jalandhar-Shukracharya scene, which actually brought tears to my eyes, and I am decidedly not sentimental.
If you have the time, do take a look at my post of last night, or rather early this morning, on that segment, Jalandhar Today: Mohit's tour de force.
Ela, one has to take into account that after Vrinda is no more, Jalandhar will have nothing left to live for, except the desire to be revenged on Vishnu for her death.
He is already on his knees - physically, psychologically, and emotionally - after his guru left him (that was an inexcusable thing for a person who is in
loco parentis to do; he should have curbed him much earlier, and now he should have stood by him and helped him, as Brahaspati did for Indra after that coldblooded murder of Trishira. What has Jalandhar done which is half as bad as that? And yet Indra had then got away with it, thanks solely to Brahaspati).
Now Vrinda is the only one left who loves Jalandhar for himself - not for what he can be used for, and not because of the
shivansh in him. When he loses her, he will be so distraught that death will come as a welcome relief from the agony he is suffering. It is like Ravana after the death of Indrajit (I am not drawing any parallel with Jalandhar on any other point); he loses the will to fight or even to live. The Ravana vilaap is a very moving and beautiful account of his state of mind then.
I feel, therefore, that by June 2, both Jalandhar and we will be glad to see him freed from his suffering.

It seems you were right Shyamala. Jallu does love Vrinda.
They are showing different story from the one given in puranas.
But I dont want him to die so soon.
