undoubtedly hema. The contemplative nature of Jalandhar, the Dark Lord's character has oiled up our thinking guns.

My dear,

You made my day, for the real compliment is when a normally reticent reader is moved enough to comment, and that too so warmly! I am more than happy.

Yes, the real highlight of the show now is the very sharp difference that Mohit Raina brings to his two characters, who are polar opposites. He is very, very talented, but I do not think he could have enjoyed any one of his past roles anything like as much as Mahadev/Jalandhar.

And of the two, as I wrote to Utkarsh, the writer of DKDM, for him and for Mohit, the real challenge is not the serenely majestic, aloof Mahadev, but the arrogant, turbulent, and yet vulnerable and self-destructive Jalandhar. It is not often that an actor gets such a fascinating, conflicted character to write and to play, and Utkarsh and Mohit are making the best of it, and are obviously having a ball.

Both they and many of us are going to have severe withdrawal symptoms after June 2.

As for even a well known story seeming fresh and appealing even for the nth time, why, that is what makes it a classic.

Wah - I am usually silent reader - never post much - but just wanted to say how much I loved your post. Not only the thoughts and analysis, which are so interesting, but also the beautiful way you are able to write and express yourself, aur yeh bhi angrezi mein. It really was a pleasure to read!

Aur haan - such a power packed epi that I did not notice until the very end I was clutching my clothes and sitting just at the edge of the seat about to fall off! It is hard to believe the same actor is essaying both Mahadev and Jalandhar, so different the voice and mannerisms of the two, Hats off to Mohit for his extraordinary level of skill!

It is getting so exciting now in the story that, even these are so famous stories and we all know the outcomes - still I cannot wait to see the next epi! It seems the best stories are always fresh.

Thank you so very much, Hema.

I have been watching DKDM since October last, but till the Jalandhar track came up, and especially the adult Jalandhar, I did not post anything in the forum. I do not know about 'awesome', but it is true that I would never have come here but for Jalandhar, and I am very glad he brought me here to meet you all !

Thank you, Disha. That part is really the beginning of the new, post-jalasamadhi Jalandhar. The slow growth of eager anticipation on his face was fascinating, and it was a total switch from his expression just before that, when he is looking at Vrinda.

Mohit belongs on the big screen, and I am sure he will get there, and in much better films than in his first outing in Bollywood, once DKDM is wound up in another year or so.
