Had the Mahadev story been from the original scriptures, I'd have agreed w/ you. But Mahadev going on this wild goose chase to get Parvati back her memory reminds me of the AS Ramayan's swarna kamal episodes, where Luv & Kush went on a wild goose chase for about a month to hunt down a legendary flower. Here, Parvati had asked Mahadev to bring her some flowers, and that he'd have to win her back if he failed, and instead, they are turning it around by testing Parvati instead.

Honestly, I find this excruciatingly boring to watch. Jalandhar is, by contrast interesting, and unlike others, I don't watch them for jodis, so Vrinda is not a factor (although Neha Marda looks far better here than she did as Gehna in BV). I like Jalandhar intellectually challenging the legitimacy of what the devas did in the past, and focusing on that. Of course, the romance aspect drives trps, so there wasn't gonna be a story w/o Vrinda.

But I'm scared of one thing - just as they perverted the characters of people like Vajrang to embellish Vishnu, I'm afraid that they'll show Vrinda as somewhat evil and make her less sympathetic, so that if they show Vishnu violating her, the audience won't be sympathetic. In Friday's episode, they showed her being such a chatterbox of a doc, I was blown away - that seems to be a big contrast w/ what's been written about her.

Let's see what they show.

acc to puran jalandhar was a dark shaded villain not a mamma's boy type revenge seeker psycho
we didn't expect them follow purans wholely
we expected them to show what they promised in promo..the evil smirk wala jallu..ok even if they show the psychological jorney..it should not be dragged this much..general viewers won't have that much patience like us..

and people are there on both side who liking the track and disliking the track..so pov will be different why to think this much?? let's see next week's trp

Just wait and watch. Mohit is doing a fine job as Jalandar. I agree that Mahadev has not been shown much these days. But think about it Mohit is putting his heart and soul into both characters. And I quite like the way he is acting like Jallandar. He needs to sound evil and look down on people that why he tilting his head a lot. U need to be patient for Jallandar to turn into Mahadev.
