Well i had leaved this forum but i can't stop my feelings regarding Mahadev & also i am big fan of Mahabharata.😛

So only for here to this particular post of Mahabharata.

And this show will be going to replaced Ek Hazaron Mein...at 8.30 pm slot from 1st July,2013.

From 1st july,2013 it will be started.

so the promo hits the screens before 2.5 months...!!!!

star plus want to promote very hugely this show, as it is very big ticket show for chanel.

and Life OK & star plus are sister channels.so they never put it at 8.00 PM because of tough competition of mythological shows.

And Masterchef-3 will be replaced by Ekta Kapoor's new show "Custody" or DJ's Creative Unit's show "Sher Dil Shergil" at 8.00 PM.

Ek Hazaron Mein...is being done very poor performance for Chanel only 1.3 TRPs this week.

Even Star Plus want to give tough fight for Madhubala On Colors & Tarak Mehta on SAB TV.

Even Zee Tv will be going to Put new Historical show "Jodha-Akbar" at 8.30 PM after IPL.

tfs nice promo .. but star cast is not satisfying .. except SRJ .. hope de make at least half of as good as B R Chopra's .. I think it will come on sunday morning slot

Mahabharata is my fav... Hope they continue long

May be it will depend upon how far it fetches TRP... Also how people except it... Depending on this may be they will extend the contract

Maybe 6 months is enough considering its a daily. Atleast the chances of it dragging is slim. I would really like to see a proper ending with pandavas going to heaven but I guess they would have to extend it or show a leap to include it.

Mahabharat, an epic of ancient India, coming soon on Star Plus. The first series was produced by B.R.Chopra and directed by his son Ravi Chopra in 1988. It had 94 episodes and originally ran from 2 October 1988 to 24 June 1990 on Indian's favorite Channel, DD National. Well there was another attempt made by Balaji Telefilms with their show Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki, which was premiered on 9X. It was a modern and westernized version of the epic Mahabharata but was discontinued much before its original completion date because of low TRP ratings & criticism from all quarters.

So will Star Plus take clues from the previous attempts made by Production Houses? Well, the promos have just started and will be interesting to see how Star Plus Packages the whole show? Talking about the cast, well considering the large number of characters that Mahabharat has, the cast too will be huge.

Shaheer Sheikh, Navya fame said to be playing the character of Arjun. This is no doubt one of the most famous characters in Mahabharat. Saurabh Raj Jain who was last seen in Uttaran and who is currently playing the character of Lord Vishnu in Life Ok's "Devon Ke Dev Mahadev" will be playing the top most role of "Krishna". So are you all set to watchSaurabh in a new avatar?

Television actress Sayantani Ghosh will be portraying the character of Satyawati. She was last seen in "Nagin" and "Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuien". Rohit Bharadwaj who shot to fame from "Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha", will be playing the all-important role of Yushishtir. The role of Draupadi will be played by Debilna Chartterjee. There are some more important characters which are yet to be decided.

We all know how hugely popular the show was and most of us still remember the characters. The Original Series was run-away success and public places were found deserted during the time slot. So will this new attempt create a similar impact? Well, it is very difficult to recreate history, but time will only tell if they have managed to win the audiences again.
