Actress Pallavi Subhash, who was finalised to play princess Amba in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's 'Mahabharat', has been replaced overnight by Ratan Rajput.

Pallavi had started shooting for the show and was even set to fly down to Kashmir for a schedule. But her prior commitments ' a Marathi movie ' clashed with the shoot of the show and she had to opt out of it.

Informs a source, "Pallavi had date issues and a crucial sequence had to be shot in Kashmir. Since she was not available, they had to replace her with Ratan, better remembered as Laali of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, also produced by Tewary. Though a portion of the show has already been shot with Pallavi, the makers don't want to compromise on the show and will re-shoot the sequence."

Ratan confirmed the news, but refused to divulge details.

The famous and renowned Bhanu Athaiya needs no introduction. This 85 year old talent is one of the few Oscar winning Indians over 100 years of Indian cinema. However, the good news is that this talented designer will be the consulting faculty for Star Plus' mythological saga Mahabharat and joining her on this show will be Nidhi Yasha.

However, without demeaning Bhanu Athaiya's talent there is another great talent who has put her heart and soul to the costume designing and look styling for Mahabharat and its none other than Nidhi Yasha.

Sources informs, "The magnum opus of Star plus will be launched soon with a bang after 4 years of pre-production. It is also said that the look and costumes are worth the wait and will certainly grab eyeballs."

Sources further tells us that the young talent who has earlier contributed for shows like Life OK's Ram Leela, Savitri and is still remembered for styling the look of Mahadev, Nidhi Yasha is once again geared up to bring out a magnificent eye treat for the viewers.

She is designing costumes and styling the look for each and every character from larger than life show, Mahabharat. Bhanu Athaiya has turned to be the consulting faculty on the same.
