Piyali or Ekta for Draupadi

It's over four months now that the producers of Mahabharat are looking for a suitable face to play Draupadi. The latest is that two actress Piyali Munshi and Ekta Kaul are in close contention. Sources say that both have given look tests and it's a matter of finalising one of them with the scales heavily tipping towards Piyali. She had earlier played the title role in Jai Janani Maa Durga. Piyali confirmed that she had been approached and would love to play the role, but nothing has been finalised. She is currently shooting for a 3D film on Lord Shiva in which she is playing both Sati and Parvati. Ekta, who was last seen in Rab Se Sona Ishq also confirmed she has been offered the role and "talks are on". The serial is likely to go on air from September 2.  Chaya Unnikrishnan

maa durga as draupadi, woah, now i'm more eager. i realy want her to play the role of panchali.

Piyali can act too. She was good in portraying angry Ma Durga in JJMD. She will make a good Draupadi if selected.

Piyali not bad I have not seen much of JJMD but she has the face for it.
