Mumbai: Swastik Production's Mahabharat, which is currently under production, is making news yet again. This time the buzz is, the show is likely to replace Ek Hazaro Mein Meri Behna Hai, which has been on air since two years on Star Plus.
Reveals a source related to the project, "The producers of the show wanted to create a bank of episodes before the telecast of Mahabharat. Having done that it's now ready to go on air." If it's true then the show is likely to telecast tentatively from June 10, replacing Ek Hazaron Mein... at 8.30 pm on Star Plus.
When contacted Siddharth Malhotra, the producer of Ek Hazaron Mein..., this is what he had to say. "I don't think Mahabharat is replacing our show. In fact, I've been asking Star Plus to discontinue the show as it's not doing well, but they are just not taking it off-air," he said.
Shot at Umargao in Gujarat, Mahabharat stars Arav Choudhary as Bheeshm Pitamah, Puneet Issar as Parshuram, Ratan Rajput as Amba, Sameer Dharmadhikari as Shantanu, Sayantani Ghosh as Satyavati and Shaheer Sheikh as Arjun.
