News Flash:

Following the accusation by some Maharashtra MLAs that enormous quantities of water is being wasted on the maintaining the pitches and grounds (which otherwise could have been used by the drought hit places) some asuras of Patal lok too raised objections on matches being held in Tripura Stadium.

Their contention was the same as the Maharashtra MLAs. No water in Patal Lok either- So how can the ground & pitch be maintained. They took their problem to Parvati (This was before her memory Loss)

Parvati was surprised to hear that there was no water on Patal Lok.

"So what do you drink?" she asked curiously

"Blood" replied one asura with a wicked smile. 😡

"And sometimes Madira- Mepsi Madira to be precise. Mepsi Madira also happens to be Awesome Asuras' official sponsor" replied another asura.

One asura thought it would be more practical to moisturize the pitch and the ground with blood - but Akash Dev- who had brought the rights to telecast all the matches on his Sky TV- vetoed the idea.

"Blood stained ground will clash with the color of the uniforms - especially when Brahmanas and Devas play" he opined

Everybody looked to Parvati for a solution. A brainwave hit her. In any case, she was getting a bit jealous about ganga's proximity with her husband. "She literally sits on his head" she was often heard to complain.

So Parvati ordered Ganga to flow in the Patal lok as well, solving their water problems - or else- she would lose her position as the coach of PP.

A sulking Ganga agreed.

That's how Ganga came to be called Tri-patha- gamini- One who flows in all the three worlds.

Fantastic of you to have tied what's happening w/ the asuras to what's happening in Maharashtra. Maybe I should have spelt that out earlier - my earlier report about the killing of Matsyakanya was inspired not only by Thursday's episode, but also by the news in New Zealand that Jesse Ryder had been attacked and gone through a coma. Thankfully, Ryder, unlike Matsyakanya, survived, but is still out of DD (this one is Delhi Daredevils 😆) But Matsyakanya is now recuperating in Yamalok.

Also, the report about the devas not allowing any asura to play in Yamalok - inspired from you know where? 😈 So far, Kubera is the one who has come out w/ the ruling, and none of the other franchises have objected. 😕

So Ganga was strongarmed into flowing in Pataal? And Mepsi is a sponsor of the asuras? 😆 LSD has its resemblence to MSD, but it's also the initials of a banned substance in Kalyug 😆

Oh, and congratulations for coming out w/ the first official song for a team. Maybe the AA and GG fans here can compose theirs for their teams. And we have our first official sponsors as well - Mepsi promoting the asuras. Fantastic.

In the meantime, Himavan has a meeting w/ Roka Rola officials and they sign up as the first sponsors of PP.

Yes, I think I know. I hope you were not planning to come to Chennai to watch any Sri Lankan player play...😕

Actually I wanted to make Kartikeya into deva- equivalent of MSD but couldn't find anything suitable. And Lakshman was a sitting duck- because he could be confused with other Lakshmans in mythology (and a certain VVS) but also because the initials fitted perfectly.
And yes, I do know what LSD also stands for😆
