If u take offerings there is Kamakshi [in the south ]who is the Love or kama roop of parvati she is a vegetarian and only rice gruel is offered to her . not sure what it is called in hindi. , She is kamakhya in the north. Here is a non vegetarian and ritualistic offering of animals is given to her.

Mahadev is the supreme being he does not get a hangover from bhang. He can take it like we take in milk.
Since he lives in Kailash which has abundance of these herbs and other exotic plants, it must have a part of his diet.

Many of these plants become drug when taken without any control. But when taken in limited or in a controlled quantity do have medicinal properties.
