they got the meaning of Murukan also wrong yar.. What is the research team doing. Ok we can understand the puranas have different stories but getting the meaning of the name wrong.
The word muruku has various shades of meaning such as tenderness, youth, beauty, young man, god Murukan, ornament with helix of the ear, fragrance, the priest of God Murukan(velan).

I tell u. Murugan and his significance dwn South is not known to many especially northies. It is not imp to them perse. Those are just fill ins for them. Very sad
