Great episode today.
The game played b/w the 2 was really soothing to watch. It was funny to see Mahadev claim victory, when the goals & others of the game were not known. Incidentally, when Parvati threw the dice, I thought I saw a number >1, but she moved her piece just one spot. Fault is mine here - I'm thinking of ludo 😆
I'm glad Mahadev reminded us of the names of these 3 - Tarakaksh, Vidyunmali, Kamalaksh - I am tired of saying Changu, Mangu & Tingu 😆 But I was disappointed by Parvati being biased against the asuras. What are they trying to prove - that she's indeed Vishnu's sister? I'm glad that Mahaedv pointed out to her the good things that have resulted from the asura activities, such as uniting the 2 of them. I've been thinking this some time, and I'm glad that Mahadev seems to agree w/ me.
After all, if one thinks about it, had there been no Tarakasura, there may have been no deva initiative to get Mahadev & Parvati married, and no Kartikeya. Had there been no Mahishashur, we'd have had no Durga. Had there been no Chanda or Munda or Raktabheej, we'd have had no Mahakali. Had there been no Mahishi, we'd have had no Ayappa.
Tarakaksh, Vidyunmali, Kamalaksh's return seems to set the stage for the Tripurasura episodes - I hope they don't screw this up by showing them getting killed before Taki is. But I don't like the role in Vishnu here @ all. Mahadev's condition was that as long as these 3 didn't do anything adharm, he'd protect them, but the moment they don't, they'd lose his protection. The devas had no reason to have problems w/ this, but they did, and Vishnu helped them, even though they were doing nothing wrong.
I hope that the serial shows their story exactly as it happened in the Shiva Purana. Mahadev wont be shown in a bad light, but Vishnu and Indra will, and will deserve to be. We have been disappointed before, but today, they drew a beautiful picture about the positive effects of the demons. I hope the serial shows the story as it happened, and later, shows Mahadev's doting on Banasura.
And Mata Parvati, the asuras are your children too 😆
