u may not find it on the net.. about the nose ring .. It was told to me by a person who used to liive in madhurai and knew the traditions of the temple.
I have posted a link to the actual ceremony itself. see above .
It is also said that Meenakshi actually has her periods to. On certain days the water runs red and no darshan is allowed for 3 days, I am not sure about this story . but my friend vouches for it.

Gosh Jaya really this is mind boggling. South has so many stories related to Shiva and Parvati. I wish someone reads all this and try and adapt it on screen. It is so amazing.😲

This was only for news channels and the press. The actual wedding was in Shiv's real avatar which was only revealed in the ME.😊
