Hey all,

As we know today is Guru poornima . And who else than our very own Shivji can we think of as our guru. Guru- One who removes the darkness of ignorance. I would like to offer my pranaams to the divine Guru Dakshinamurthy who is seated in serenity facing the Southern direction, ..😳 the Chaturved gyaata, our very own Mahadev! 😊

Nagendra haraya Trilochanaya,
Basmanga ragaya maheswaraya,
Nithyaya shudhaya digambaraya,
Tasmai nakaraya namashivaya

My salutations to the letter 'Na' , which is Shiva,
Who wears as garland the king of snakes.
Who has three eyes,
Who wears ash all over Him,
Who is the greatest Lord,
Who is forever,
Who is the cleanest,
And who wears the directions themselves as dress.

Please feel free to post your replies/salutations 😊

My GURU for understanding this world has always been dakshina murthy
who faces the direction of death to enlighten we mortals.

in This form Shiva is alone and with out parvati you can find dakshina moorthy idols
in all south indian shaiva temples.

Listen to this beautiful dakshina moorthy stotram by sri adi shankaracharya
