Its not a controversial topic but indeed interesting one . In India its become a fashion to nod our head for foreign theories, since all our academic, economic ,law , technological and statistical studies are borrowed form them .So To know about who we are? there needs a self research from Every Indain .
I am sharing a interesting article written by Amlan RoyChowdhury , who is a researcher , writer. (I have already posted it in Doubts and discussion thread too at 57 )
