Lord Krishna's birth had multiple reasons

1) to get rid of sinners on the mother earth, and to lesson the burden of mother earth as it was overflowing with people. Kuruskshetra war was the remedy for this

2) Jaya and Vijaya the door keepers were born as dantha vaktra and sisupala, this was their third and final birth, he also released them from the curse.

3) Kans was another reason his atrocities were growing from day to day. so had to be killed it is here the version about kans being a demon and being born as human comes in.

4) there were scores of others who had to be tamed. like jarasandha, kalayavana, and many more

5) to enlighten the world about geeta a very important vehicle for human enlightenment expecially in kaliyuga as people will lose ability to learn from vedas themselves.

so these five can be categorized as principle reasons for Krishna's birth

Reshama kans was not an asur, he was yadava and he was related to Krishna. I heard some where that kans was asura who took human birth i am not sure though.

but he was definitely Human with asuric qualities dominating his other qualities. Kans was also a very ardent follower of devi shakti.

accourding to Krishna series of the 90s. Yes his parents were Yadavs but an asur had seen the beautiful queen (mother of kans) and felt so attractict by her. He changed himself as her pati.. the queen didnt knew it was an asur. They had their milan.. and so Kans was born.

I only know sheetal dabolkar, the grown up sanjoygita who actually replied to PMs. Then again she isn't big shot either.

Don't go by that. RSK made up a whole bunch of stuff. Kansa was incredibly strong, but he was not a demon. Some schools have it that he was the third of the Jaya/Vijaya incarnations, but most mainstream versions have it that it was Sishupala & Dantavatra.
