I was going by what I've read...and really there is very little material to do with sati...the main story being the immolation...but let's see if others can enlighten us...

Chandra was a great devotee of Shiva, he did probably thousands of years penance to earn
a place on mahadev's head. you don't get a place like that when some body else recites a mantra for you.

obviously that track was invention of CVs, so that part has already found its way to wikipedia. the influence is much faster than i thought😃

@everyone-that whole ghost crap really disgusted me-i mean what are they trying to propagate?-that Parvati and Sati are the same ,or they both are different parts of Adi shakti,if Parvati is Sati rebron-how the hell can Sati still not be Mukt or have not attained Mukti as yet???
i was going what? what? in the entire episode!!
im serious someone must have drugged the Cvs to write such rubbish-no offence to Mouni fans, but i think had they made Mounis last scene to be the one of the self-immolation,i would have preferred it over a crying Sati...
*sigh*...
im hoping thier crap stops now,i really do!...i have no problem in fiction, but this is down right illogical-how can Sati be an aatma when she is rebron as Parvati??
sheesh-someone please courier the Cvs a packet of "common sense"...

And seriously..WHAT was with the final dialogue of Mahavishnu??🤢 'Vairagya Vs Prem' ..they're two aspects of human life and can also be considered two different goals, philosophies, and connote a wider meaning altogether ..sometimes the two can also be practiced together as one..no one can decide which is greater than the other just by one incident..It would be an erroneous error to even begin comparing the two..looks like the script writers too have been made victims of MCDD ( Mythology Concept Distortion Disorder)

Shivji is the biggest example of being a Vairagi & Sansarik at the same time. He was shown telling rishi Kashyap, he is going to set an example of leading both the lifes together. It is actually a way of life, he being a Mahayogi can portray that well. Prem & Vairagya can not be different. A Vairagi loves God, doesn't want to get involved in the Sansarik bondages. Where as Sansarik loves his family, he has to fulfill his duty towards them. Prem is an important factor of both.
They should have people who can understand & write such things properly, othewise poor viewers are the victims of their confused mind.

yes minu di..keeping that incident in mind I had said that the scriptwriters and CVs are at fault... The CVs have forgotten about the Pravritti-Nivritti maarga which they themselves had depicted after Shivji-Sati's wedding..talk about forgetfulness! Infact that theory is supposed to be one of the cornerstones of this serial..but I guess it's just a pebble in the courtyard for them now with all the over-the-top emotional overtures going on..(sorry people..no offence to the other viewers) Guess i'm just becoming whiny day after day about the distortion of facts..but can't help it..i guess you'll understand what i mean..😕

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra page
and I have found the following

"According to some puranas, the mahamrutyunjaya mantra has been used by many rishis as well as Sati during the time when Chandra suffered from the curse of Prajapati Daksha. By reciting this mantra, the effect of the curse of Daksha, that could make him die, slowed, and Shiva then took Chandrama on his head."

I believe that it's due DKDM influence, cause I have never heard or read that Sati herself helped to relieve Chandra's curse.
Hope I'm wrong, but soon we would have stories of Sati meeting Parvati

Now that part is changed as,
According to puranas, after being cursed by Prajapati Daksha, Chandra did penance at Prabhas Patan meditating on The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra. Lord Shiva then placed him on his head, reducing Daksh's curse by making Chandra waning & waxing for 15 days. Chandra made Somanatha temple there, the first Jyotirlinga temple, among the 12 Jyotirlinga temples

What's a divine urgency in marryin Parvati and Shiv. Tarkasur doesn't harm anyone, why not let Shiv peaceful in meditation...

really want to cut CV's head off🤢

The KamDev story is part of Kalidasa's Kumarasambhava. The way Kalidasa writes it, the gods were waiting for the birth of the dev-senapati- the son of Shiv to defeat the asuras. So when Parvati sees Shiv, the gods conspire to get Kamdeva and his friend Basanta (Spring Incarnate) to break Shiva's samadhi. Basanta arrives and brings the eternal winter of the place, then Kamdeva strings his arrow/Madanbana. Shiva is distracted for a moment but then he is furious at being disturbed, his third eye opens and Kamdeva is burned to ashes. Parvati feels humiliated, so she goes into deep tapasya to gain Shiva as a husband. After their marriage, Rati comes to Parvati and begs for her husband's life, and Shiva rejuvenates KamDeva.
