@ Mythli, Naradji had written "Sankat nashan Ganesh Stotra", which includes 12 names of Ganeshji.

Thanks a lot for this!
I always found it confusing when they announced the Saptarishis and only 5 showed up! I realized later that it was a title... 😊

doesn't the list of saptarishis also vary, depending on the source?

thanks a lot minu, can u please sticky this thread and enter it into archives? and we can continue discussion with the rishi's and yogis and yoginis of modern India too? There used to be a book at our house about the sadhaks and sadhikas of India, maybe we can do an online version of it?

Wanted to add:

The saptarshi's stay and medidate in the topmost and uppermost zone of universe, it is the land where there is no duality, only these 7 exist because they have attained the supreme knowledge of unity. As you correctly said, even devis and devatas cannot cross into this region. This is the region of unity.

And Janaka inspite of being a ruler, lead a pious life full of penace, following his rajdharma to the T so much so that he is also known as Rajarshi. He was instructed to be the guru of Sukdev. he imparted to Sukdev the final knowledge of salvation.

Their list varys for different Manvantaras. During the 1st Swayambhu Manu's time they were Mareechi, Atri, Angiras, Pulah, Kratu, Pulatsya & Vashistha.
For the current 7th Vaivaswata Manu's time they are Kashyap, Atri, Vashistha, Vishwamitra, Gautam, Jamadagni & Bharadwaj.

Thanks a lot! If I may ask, what is the source?
