Sonarika looks great! And I liked her with Mohit in the SBS/SBB segments...

she is young and good-looking but she is not made for parvati's role. They could have done better in choosing someone more mature for the role of parvati and in front of mohit she looks less compatible, i feel they don't compliment each other well. it feels like the "who-ever" was doing the auditions for parvati's role did it in a rush, because there were many other girls/women who would have suited well for this role. but anyways we gotta accept it all so welcome sonarika ji!!

Exactly!!!

I also don't agree that she *has* to be mature looking (whatever that means). After all, Parvati was supposed to be a young woman when she married Shiva. Just because she is the "mother" of the universe doesn't mean she has to *look* mature (again, whatever that means - surely it will mean different things to different people)...

maturity isn't a physical thing (at least, not exclusively)...Parvati's maturity will be reflected in her behavior perhaps?

Actually, Parvati was 1000s of years old when she married Shiva. But as someone divine, she never aged. So any grown woman can represent her.

Also, from the few pics that I've seen, Parvati seems to look very different from Abhilasha, who definitely would have looked a tad strange opposite Shiva. I think the PH will deck her up for the part right, even while they screw up other things, such as the storyline.

about the "maturity" thing everyone is ranting about,to be honest im amused...

had they got a more mature looking girl-people would have said she looks like Mohits Aunty or Older Sister...

and for a Younger looking girl like Sonarika-youll say she looks too young...

so either way everyone would have grumbled!

to say if she is compatible with Mohit or not,have you seen her acting in the first place???

what we saw on SBS was the behind the scene shooting and that too they didnt even show any on screen interaction between Shiv and Parvati

@Vrish-the look is something we need to worry about the least,im sure theyll make her fit the role to the T,she already looks different from Abhilasha and i was mildly surprised...
