Okay, who were Ganga's other sisters who were rivers?? Yamuna was daughter of Surya/Sanjna. Saraswati (the river) wasn't a daughter of Meena either.

And at least as per this episode, Ganga wasn't already water. Meena probably wanted to give her in marriage to someone, but Ganga becoming a river would make that unattainable. And Ganga took that choice out of her hand by volunteering instantly.

But I was just thinking about that scene. If I had a little girl, and watched her suddenly become a pool of water and get poured into somebody's water pot, will I feel depressed at having lost my girl, or happy? I know she won't be dead, so I wouldn't be grieving, but I'm just trying to imagine what one would feel @ the sight?

you would be sad, immensely sad in the beginning. But then you will think, as your daughter she is just a mere mortal and she will die someday, maybe infront of your eyes but like this she will be flowing for a long time, maybe even eternity. So you will be proud and happy and they will both happen together. This is something which happens to all parents when their daughters get married.

Somehow, I'm having trouble equating daughter getting married vs turning into water. Meena obviously preferred the former to the latter 😆

I am just saying its the kind of feeling parents have, on one had immensly sad to leave them on the other hand happy for their happiness or eternal life in this case.

meena might have preferred marriage like all mothers, but you have to trust a me on this that they are more or less similar feeling. Even when it is preferred still the mothers cry.

the episode was ok-there were lots of loose ends and lots of bloopers,it even seemed rushed...
I Loved the way mahadev just shooed Ganga away-but i guess such a stong refusal was needed, considering her sister Parvati is going to marry him!
but the last two minutes of the episode were heavenly(Nikhil Sinha take a bow for that)...the music was haunting,Pankaj Dheer looking sooo happy,Baby Parvati was cho chweet!,and when those tears began to flow from Mahadevs closed eyes...OMG-i felt my heart flutter again..
PS-regarding Mena not having a Pregnancy tummy,my mom once told me in olden ages apparently when a woman was pregnant you couldnt see her stomach,so i guess they are applying that theory here!

ALso how do u know so much about puranas and scriptures and u can go ad check them at the drop of hat?😊

As per DP, it was Chaya-Sati who had entered the fire. Sati had already left to her Loka leaving Chaya-Sati handle Dakash, after he insulted Sati. So it was this Chaya-Sati born as her Anasavatar, Ganga & Sati the Aadi Shakti as her Purna avatar Parvati. While doing Tandav, Shivji carried her body on his head, so her Anashavatar will flow from his head, that's why Aadi Shakti told him about Ganga & Parvati.
😆I have DP at office so I can check & DB at home.

Actually, in those times - in fact, right upto the 20th century, women were considered attractive if they were portly, as that indicated that they were well to do, and thereby more desirable. If a woman is already fat, there comes a point where it's indistinguishable from that appearance alone whether or not she's pregnant.

One thing, though - I thought that Parvati and Ganga grew up together, didn't they? If yes, then how does this script about Ganga going to Devalok and not returning until Shiva himself summons her, make sense? And even that isn't true - it was Brahma who granted Bhageeratha the boon that Ganga would descend to the earth, and Bhageeratha next propriated Shiva to break her fall, so that she doesn't end up washing away the entire earth w/ the force of her descent. That's where the jata business comes in.
