Zodiac Sign is Libra and Rasi is Kanya?

My friend was born on 20th October 1979, she is not from India, she moved here from the UK; two years ago. She got interested in hindu astrology, though I am not very into it, when she checked she found her Rasi is Kanya; shouldn't it be Tula since shes a Libra. Her nakshatra is Hastha. What is the difference between Zodiac Sign and Rasi?

i Guess maybe you are refering to the Sun Sign Moon sign thing-

Sun Sign is youre zodiac sign,while Moon sign is the position of the moon at time of youre birth-both equally determine you're personality-but ive heard the Moon sign has a larger effect and gives a away a larger amount of info of how you are in terms of behavior etc Sun sign is what you get based upon the month and date in which you were born

Absolutely correct.. :)
Even my Zodiac is Libra as I am born on 1st October
But my Rashi is Gemini 😲
