They are playing with time. Tarakasur is here before his schedule time. He will be killed by Kartikeya only, so all the Devas will suffer for along time till he is born. This is the lyberty makers have taken.

Shivji's rage hasn't camed down, but hearing Sati's name he is atleast ready to listen to others.

Now his rage will transform into pain seeing Sat's body. It's a gradual transformation.

True, the calming down process is not that easy after such afierce anger burst, it will be gradual. after hearing her name he is atleast ready to listen to Vishnuji, when he will see her body, there will be emmense pain, he will not let her body go away, then the Sudarshan chakra part. It will take some time.

Minaxi..Wonderful point...And I love how you pointed out that Shivji used to see her in every aspect of nature and after she died..he wanted to destroy that nature too...but slowly he would come out of it..and reclaim her...and that is the journey of Shiva that DKDM is suppose to portray na?? Excellent...

Yes it's a great show. It's basically our Mythology. Shivji's pain is really hurting, so much he has to undergo for just stupid Daksh's arrogance & ego.

srushti, it must be so painful for him he knew she will not be with him for a long time but when it actually happened that too she fought for his honour & left the body given by her so called father, who was responsible for her end.

Hey. I heard that Mahadev did tandava with Sati's body and cause of the violent tandava her body parts got scattered all over and that is how shakti peethas were formed. Didnt know about Vishnuji's sudarshan chakra.

Such an amazing post. Kudos to you for capturing that epic moment in words!!! That moment had me and my family dumbed. The pain( ..I must confess) had tears in my eyes. But chanting of Shakti's name itself adde an extra feather to the moment.

Due to Shivji's Tandav, the Earth was shaking, he was uncontrollable. To get him out of that state Vishnuji cut Sati's body with Sudarshan chakra in 51 parts, which fell at various places, Shakti peethas were formed there. That's how she came on Earth to bless Humans. Seeing her presence on Earth, Shivji too resides in all the Shaktipeethas, as per Devi puran.
