"Good girl jai, on time am impressed" said uday checking his watch.
Jai was wearing a skirt and a t shirt.
" so jai, lets not delay why you are here, come with me, and he led her to the bedroom.

Manyata was too tired after last night party at aadhi's place. After much insistence uday had accompanied her to the party. But she felt guilty that she could not spent much time with him, as adhi asked her to accompany him to meet a lot of his relatives. Even last week when adhi held a party uday refused to come. She forced him and he came. That night when she was with her friends she saw uday and adhi having a conversation. adhi is really trying to help his friend' she thought .
She was now having doubts regarding her engagement to aadhi. Adhi was a good person, a good friend, but he could never take a place in her heart as a lover, was it because her heart was already in the hands of one person, whom she refused to acknowledge - uday. many a times she doubted why she took care of uday after the accident. should not she hold a grudge for all that he did to her? Did he not try to kill her? But...
Yes, there was a but' looming in the horizon. Her heart was like a ROM file that refused to erase old data and add new one in its place. She still had the ring he had given her, she never had the mind to dispose the files. a soft knock on her door woke her from her thoughts, she looked at the clock, it was 9 30 already. She had overslept. Hurriedly she went and opened the door. Uday stood outside with a cup of coffee (they were now sleeping separately on uday's insistence that he had overcome his fear for dark places)
U: ( with a smile) looks like someone overslept?
M: ya, I guess so, last night's party did take its toll on my sleep. I better get ready, I am getting late for office. Thanks for the coffee
U: freshen up and come soon, I have made breakfast for us.
M: ah!!! Thanks uday
Later at the breakfast table
M: uday what do you do when I go to office?
U: i? I just roam around the town, buying something, trying new shops, just thinks like that
M: don't you go to office?
U: I don't even remember what I used to do there, then why would I visit there and create troubled there?
M: can you remember anything?
U: I get flashes, but they move too fast that I cant decipher what they mean, it confuses the hell out of me.
M: ok, uday don't forget to take your medicines, bye, see you in the evening
U: bye princess
M: what!!!!! (a bit shocked)
U: um you are a princess na, so I called you so
Manyta felt this was not good and left with doubts in her mind

"mam, a letter has arrived for you, it states for the eyes of the CEO only' so I did not go through it, what do you want me to do with this letter?"
" give it to me, I will check the contents, thanks dear"
the envelope was heavy and it increased manyta's curiosity "who would be sending a confidential letter to me"
manyta broke the seal and took the contents outside, it was a letter along with a a few photographs, she decided to go through the photos later, her curiosity grew and she wanted to read what was in the letter
To her highness Manyta kumari,
I am a humble well wisher of yours. It was come to my notice that you are being cheated by your "so called friend". So I cannot keep mum and allow you to get cheated by that professional con artist. The noted business man udayveer who is staying with you is not amnesic but pretending to be so. He had bribed the doctor to fool you into believing that he was amnesic after the accident, while in reality he had escaped with just a few bruises. I enclose the copy of the doctor's report along with this letter
Udayveer is also going to his office and attending all business meeting since that accident and I have come to know through my sources that udayveer has no memory problems in office and is conducting his business as usual, I have also enclosed a copy of photos showing his involvement in office and the dates on the photos will help you understand that these photos are not faked

The photos and the dates on it looked authentic and manyta went through the doctor's report too. She was shattered . again she made the same mistake of believing him and again she got cheated . is she still alive, because her heart was broken beyond recognition, she was being cheated? Uday thought he could cheat her, just like that?? No!! she would not believe it until she saw it . this cant be true, but photos don't lie. Manyta decided to go and visit uday's office. On her way there she prayed let all this be untrue, please god!
Uday's office building looked same, the same busy men and women working their souls out so that their company would dominate the business world. She entered the reception area. The receptionist was a new girl, not the one who was here during her previous visit. She decided to take advantage of this fact. She wore her goggles and covered her head with the shawl of her kurta and walked to the receptionist
" how can I help you mam?" asked the polite girl, it was obvious that she was new to the job and wanted to be in the good books of all.
" you are new, I think. that's why you did not recognize me, I work in the overseas department of this company" lied manyta. She needed information and she needed an unsuspecting prey to deliver the information. The receptionist did not even ask manyta's ID proof, seeing her confident behavior "my lucky day" thought manyta
" sorry mam, I just joined 3 weeks back, I am really sorry"
" its ok don't worry, chill . I am not going to complain or something, so how do you find this office and all the people"
"its ok. Everyone is very friendly I really like working here "
"how is your boss, mr singh. I heard that he wasn't coming to the office stating health reasons. I heard that he was having some memory problems and the board overthrew him"
"na, ma. You heard it wrong, uday sir, haven't missed a single day at work since the day I have joined. Always I see him working in his cabin talking on the phone or shouting at his PA. he however leaves at around 4 every evening"
so that he can reach my apartment and get ready before I reach there, that bl**y cheat!!!'
"omg! These gossip makers, everyone is our overseas branch was talking about this, and I being a personal friend of uday just decided to find out the truth coming here directly"
" yes, there are a lot of gossip makers out there, we need to be wary about them, the lies they come up with!!!!" expressed the receptionist
" so sweety, could you tell me where uday would be right now? "
" I saw him go to the office canteen . he must be there"
" and the office canteen?"
" go straight and turn left, you will find it"
" thanks sweety"
After manyta left the receptionist could not help herself wondering why an employee of this office did not know where the canteen was

He was in a foul mood since morning. Last night's party had taken the toll on his mind and body. He tried being a very understanding friend for manyta and supported her , lied a lot, swore to her that he changed, yet the other man in her life was giving serious problem to him. if only she was his own, how he dreamed. Last night when he saw them dancing, he felt like punching that ba****d's face, but that would upset manyta and he did not want her to be upset, afterall she was going to be his wife. She was the star of all his fantasies and he would make sure that he satisfied all after their marriage, but first things first...
