Chapter 1

She flicked open her eyes to be blinded by a bright light. Adjusting her

eyes to her surroundings, she looked around and found herself in a

strange room lying on a king size bed.

Where the hell am I ? What happened to ? Why am I here ? What is this place ?

Then it all came flashing back the jeering, the shot, the pain and the

darkness.

Am I dead ? No, I can't because there is no pain in heaven and what I am

feeling at the moment is IMMENSE PAIN !

Her hand unknowingly rose up to her abdomen and she was surprised to

find her wound dressed. The wound immediately brought back HIM !

Tears welled up in her eyes. She had trusted him but he had broken her

trust. It suddenly struck her that she was trusting a complete stranger. She

mentally smacked herself.

You had not even known him for 24 hours, Manyata. How could you have

trusted him. How could you have trusted a gangster ?

No, Manyata he is your Uday ! No ! No ! He was your Uday a year back but

now he is just a bloody heartless gangster !

She tried to make herself 'see sense' as she termed it when she heard the

knob of the door being turned.

There he stood, leaning on the door with a smirk.

I wish I could wipe that smirk of his face.

She thought irritated.

Wait, what the heck did he call me ? Wifey .. ?

His smirk deepened as he saw her expressions change and he knew that it

had finally sunk in.

A moment later, her shrill voice rang through the room.

What did you call me ? How dare did you ? What do you think of yourself ?

She continued blabbering and didn't realize when he had closed in on her.

her heartbeats stopped and her breath hitched as he placed his hand

over mouth and nuzzled closer to her.

your senses while doing all that !

She continued her self - talking when she suddenly found him retreating

back and that brought her to her senses !

Uday could have killed himself for saying that. He didn't care for

anyone then why her ?

He stood there trying to reason out with himself while she stared at him

blankly.

He still cared for her !

happiness and she was about to say something when he continued ...
