Veer had said nothing all the way home. He had never been more relieved than when he found her, she had no idea just how much he loved her' He watched closely the tearful reunion when she met her baba and jai. While Brijraj looked happy to see her as she hugged him, the worry in his eyes said something else as maya had the samelook in her eyes and it was well noticed by veer turning around to walk straight into his father'. Who was standing and looking as pissed off watching the sisters family reunion.

'I see you found her'

The stinch of his cigar circling around

He said with mock sarcasm and turned coldly to look at veer

'Pretty young things would get any mans blood racing'. And many men would kill to have a piece of that'.'

Veers fist clenched as his jaw tightened and eyes raging, he turned to walk away not wanting his anger to get the better off him although his father was walking on very thin ice.

'One more thing veer'. I don't need to remind you of your engagement tomorrow. You can have your fun with this plaything of yours just don't overtire yourself'

Veer turned around and looked icily at his father.

'The engagement has been postponed until dadi is better and out of hospital'

Veer smirked arrogantly and instead of walking to his room he now headed towards maya, he smiled at his mom who was standing in the hallway. Saab was pissed off.. BLOODY wh**e IS BACK AND ALREADY WEAVING HER MAGIC ON HIM.. YOU ARE GOING TO REGRET COMING BACK'.

Ms Bruganza had been searching for Maya since early morning. Panic and worry visible on her face as she was unable to find her throughout the centre. Fatty had thrown quiet a tantrum refusing to eat, and last nights drama had left him even more disturbed, a little boy to witness such violence. It had really been quiet a night and she braced herself for what was to come today, knowing that Raj Singhania will be back' for his wife and MORE SO FOR REVENGE FROM RAHUL.

Unnathi was in no condition to go home after last night. Her heart went out to her, such a beautiful young woman to be married to a heartless monster like Singhania, she was physically drained and mentally exhausted from the abuse but the biggest shock was finding out about Fatty'.. Ms Bruganza shook her head brushing away the thought as she turned the door handle to the room she let unnathi stay in. To her surprise unnathi was up and staring out the window lost in deep thought.

She turned to face Ms Bruganza, her lower lip swollen and cheek bruised badly. She looked like she had cried a lot and knew there was only one thing to do, she knew raj and his henchmen will be here for unnathi and rahul. She didn't care about herself now, her kids will be taken care off by the caretakers she just had to get them out'. Together yes at her age she was no fool to see the unwiltered love between them. She thought rahul and maya made a couple but looking at rahuls eyes last night, he loved this women '. And she loved him

Unnathi was scared as hell when she heard what Ms Bruganza had told her, the last thing she wanted was for anything to happen to rahul because of her'.

'I cant take that chance, you don't know what raj is capable of. He will '.'

'No that's why I want you two to leave now, before they get here and don't worry about anything else'

Rahul was standing at the door listening to Ms Bruganza and Unnathi while fatty was tugging his arm.

Joseph the guard had walked in interrupting Ms Bruganza's conversation

'Sorry madam I have searched the entire ground and every block in the centre, mona didi is nowhere to be found and her clothes is still in her room'

Fear was now evident in her face' as she noticed Rahul who was baffled.

'Madam I think we should inform the police'

'No there is no need for that, I know where Mona' I mean MAYA IS and she is safe'

Both rahul and Ms Bruganza looked at unnathi questioningly as joseph shrugged his shoulders confused and walked away.

Veer was never much of a sleeper and after last night there was no way he could sleep. It was not like unnathi to not return his call, he was even more surprised to find out she had didn't come home with their mother but his mom had re assured him not to worry raj had probably picked her up. He shook his head something just didn't feel right'.

He had a lot to do today, major one being the meeting with malhotra's daughter Ria. She had called him 10 mins ago saying it was urgent and she had to see him assuming it had something to do with him calling of the engagement. He continued to stare out the window as he watched kaka drive his father out'..reflecting on last nights events, he could not remember the last time he was that angry.

Maya had walked in, her wet hair tossed to the one side to hide the mark' she had his coffee in her hand. She smiled faintly how she did it, he will never know. He took in the sight in front of him, she was wearing a long light yellow salwaar, that was as simple and beautiful as she was... Her eyes looked so tired and puffy from all the crying, how he hated himself for being so harsh and rude with her but he had to, he just couldn't think straight after what she had told him and yet here she was pretending like nothing ever happened. She still couldn't look him in the eye, he scared her a fact he was not proud of but his anger was something he could never contain or control and just the thought of her being in some one else's arms in some one else's bed'. He gritted his teeth, clenching his jaw and closed his eyes trying to calm his almost burning mind.

Placing his coffee on his desk, she adjusted her dupatta , her chain entangled in her hair and his eyes opened instantly calming him. Her innocence so rare, so beautiful, so untainted' so sweet and priceless..He knew just by looking into her hazelnut coloured eyes that she can never give herself to anyone else, nor will she ever , she was 'NO IS MY MAYA?

As he walked towards her watching her struggle with the chain unaware that he was now in front of her. She flinched as his fingers touched hers helping to set the chain free, long tense moments passed as he stared down at her wanting to apologise that was not how he wanted it to be, how he dreamed it would be but he said nothing, she tore her eyes away from his penetrating piercing dark eyes turning her head, she swallowed hard as fingers caught her chin holding her firmly in place turning her face to meet his.

His anger last night had scared her to the point that she just couldn't bring herself to speak. He could sense and feel her apprehensions. His thumb gently caressed her lips''

Maya moved away and started to walk out when he held her wrist, she closed her eyes not turning around as she heard him ''

She pulled her hand and ran out of the room not seeing where she was actually running to and bumped into

'Oh ' sorry. I am so sorry'

She smiled as she looked at the young women who looked so on edge and constantly looking around, like she was scared.

'I am looking for veer'.'

Maya just looked at her

'I am Ria Malhotra, his fianc'

Maya gulped swallowing hard as she smiled faintly

'I am Maya' just' MAYA' go straight down the hallway and turn right, veer is in his office'

Flashback previous night

She tossed and turned for most of the night unable to sleep. Her mind and her heart racing at what happened today, she turned to look at innocent jai who looked so beautiful asleep. Maya wished to see that serenity in her face always, she and her baba had talked about it and knew they had to leave as soon as possible cause saab will make their lives very difficult if not impossible. Brijraj knowing full well how veer had tightened the security and decided that they would have to wait until the engagement ceremony was taking place to leave. She was so confused, while her heart had never been happier. It hurt like hell knowing how much she has hurt veer, knowing that she can never be with him or tell him the truth. She knew Ms Bruganza and rahul would be worried when they saw she was not there, she had to speak to rahul and tell him atleast. But how? She had no access to a phone, not in her room anyway. She silently cursed herself for not wanting to learn and giving back the phone veer had got for her'. Dadi' she remembered.. Yes I will go to her room now, I know she must have been angry with me for leaving but I will explain and tell her everything and why its so necessary for us to leave.

Walking towards dadi's room she was grateful it was across the hall far away from saabs room. The last thing she wanted to do was see him.

She knocked softly waiting a reply from dadi and grew impatient on hearing no reply turned the door knob walking in. The room was dark and she walked slowly careful not to startle dadi as she whispered

Veer was resting in dadi's chair in the darkness reflecting on the events of tonight. He was inches away from going to maya earlier as he so badly needed her but he decided to give her some time, he had increased the security and would make sure she would never leave him again'. His thoughts were interrupted by soft knocking on the door. Trying to figure out who would be knocking on dadi's door at this part of the night knowing dadi was in hospital'. Still not leaving the chair, he watched in amusement as she tip toed to dadi's bed '.. it reaffirmed one thing she really did not hear dadi calling out her name earlier, she doesn't even know dadi is in hospital' Oh Maya

'Dadi'

She felt the bed and looked around realizing that she is not in her room, switching on her bed side lamp.

'Dadi kaha gaya' probably on pilgrimage again'

She looked baffled wondering where she could be until her eyes fell on the phone on the side table, atleast now she could call '.. RAHUL

Veer watched her in fascination, her simplicity and innocence talking to herself. Her profile in the light while he sat across her, it was when she picked up the telephone and started to dial someone'..

'Soch maya, try to remember the last number'.'

She remembered and finally punched in the last number of rahuls cell'. as the phone was about to ring, the line went dead'.

Unknown to her veer had pulled out the cable and now stood a few steps away from her while her back faced him

'RAHUL' RAHUL'

She looked at the receiver confused and then spoke again

'Rahul can you hear me? '

Her breathing hitched as she saw the cables in his hand, still holding on to the phone in her hand. She closed her eyes tightly as if he would not be there when she opened them as he took the phone from her hand placing it back where it belonged. He said nothing, his eyes said it all. She opened her eyes to see him standing with a wicked glint that sent shivers down her spine. Mentally she was trying to figure out how fast she could get to the door before him, she looked at the door and he read her thoughts only to well.

'Don't even think about it'..'

She swallowed hard before finally speaking

'Veer''' I just came to see dadi.. and '

'and I saw dadi is not here '..

'so I should be going now'

She said that and was turned to leave when he grabbed her wrist, she didn't turn around. Instead her blood went racing

'Who were you trying to call maya?'

'No one ' veer I was just'..'

'WHO THE F*&K is rahul maya? '

The disdain in his voice'.she could feel his anger in his firm tight grip on her wrist. His teeth gritting and the softness in his tone was like the calm before the storm.

She tried to free herself from his grip and finally succeeded only to find herself now crushed against the wall and his body. His eyes were blazing with something she could not place as he stared darkly into her soft eyes that would just melt under their gaze. While she knew very little of veers actual business dealings , she knew very well it was dangerous and not very legal, she knew if pushed veer like his father he too could be very dangerous and not someone you want to get on the bad side off. His temper and stubborness as dadi had told her many times came from his grandfather.

'Veer'.'

'Your what maya? '

'Arrhh, veer you are hurting me'

His body was crushing her as his hot breathe was on her face, his hands on either side of the wall.

'Your what maya? My maya leaves me after promising she never would, she lives her life pretending I don't exist and then she sneaks up trying to call some one else? To do what save you from prison? do you really hate this place so much maya? Do you really hate me so much? Was everything really a lie?'

His words had taken her completely, the hurt in his eyes. She couldn't see it any longer, how could she repeatedly hurt this man who has loved her so truly, so deeply, so madly'. She wanted nothing more than to caress his cheeks and calm him telling him the truth that she never meant to hurt him or leave him and she loves him with all her heart'.. but then what would happen?
