As Manyata reflected on the day's events she couldn't stop herself from getting lost into her day dream. She still couldn't believe she was a Married woman. She considered herself more 'married' than others because she had married twice'
'MARRIED'! The word itself brought heebie jeebies into her stomache. Mrs. Manyata Udayveer Singh. Wow! That sounded so good.
Ofcourse Marriage wasn't a bed of roses and she very well knew it. Her mother's last diary entry came into her mind and she said a Silent 'Thank you' to Komal looking heavenwards. She leaned onto Uday's Arm and closed her eyes. Though she had asked him so many times where they were going, he hadn't said a word. Nevermind she trusted him more than she trusted herself and was ready to go anywhere with him.
On the other hand Uday was remembering their first car ride together. How rude he was to her'My god! And what had he called her? Gold digger! He was glad now that all his efforts to drive her out of Garhwal had gone in vain. It was as if she had reached to his heart and wiped out all the hatred he had in it. She had not only reduced his harsh behavior towards herself, but also made him a better person. He was more smiling now, looking at life with a new perspective.
She had fallen asleep on his arm. He let her sleep. The trip was towards a Honeymoon package he had booked. He wanted it to be a surprise for her. So he hadn't let a word about it. All the planning was done secretly. He had even packed the luggage himself. They were going to 'Tehri' a very picturesque place near Garhwal. At around 2 in the night they reached the hotel and Manyata woke up with a Jerk when he stopped the car.
A bell boy came for their luggage and Uday asked the receptionist for key to the 'Honeymoon' suite. The elderly receptionist had a look at their still unchanged wedding attire and wished them a happy wedded life. Manyata blushed crimson and they proceeded to the first floor.
Once they reached the room Uday told her "tum change kar lo, main Reception se kuch cheezein pooch ke aata hoon"
He went to ask the reception about the nearest tourist places they could visit during their week long stay. She gave him a catalogue of places and a map of Tehri. It took about 30 minutes and He went back to their suite.
The scene over there made him remember the Cheezy, sloppy bollywood movies he had once detested for their candyfloss romance. His bride sat on the bed with her ghoongat covering her face.
"Manyata, yeh kya hai? Yeh sab rehne do'yeh sab woh log karte hai jo pehli baar shaadi ki raat ko ek dusre ki shakl dekhte hai, raat bohot ho gayi hai chalo sote hai" Uday said with a laugh.
"Swami, humari shaadi me har rasm nibhayi gayi hai'toh phir yeh kyon nahi?" Manyata said from under the veil.
Of course the 7 promises bounded them and he would do anything she asked him. So he went and lifted her ghoongat the way he had seen the heroes do in movies.
Manyata fluttered her eyelashes and he smiled at her innocence. This girl was 20 nearing 21 now and still behaved like a 12 year old!
She suddenly jumped from the bed, stood straight and said "Khade ho jayiye Swami"
"Ab koun si rasm nibhani baaki hai Pari?" Uday asked her rolling his eyes at the word 'Swami'.
While he had gone down, she had ordered a glass of hot milk and it was on the table now. She picked it up and handed it to him. If he was bewildered by her behavior he didn't let it show on his face.
Manyata bended and touched his feet next causing him to jump with more astonishment.
He looked at her face intently and said "kya tum wahi ladki ho jisse meri shaadi Hui, ya phir kahin meri dulhan badal toh nahi gayi'yeh swami-swami kya laga rakha hai? Kya ho gaya tumhe?" He touched her forehead with the back of his hand.
"Aap toh mere pati parmeshwar hai Swami, yeh doodh peelijiye" Manyata replied in same manner as before. Then suddenly she felt her head spinning and sat on the bed.
"Kya hua Pari? Tum theek toh hona?" Uday asked her alarmed.
"Woh kal raat se kuch nahi khaya maine, upvas (fast) rakha tha na shayad isilye'" Manyata couldn't complete.
Poor thing! How much tired she must be. He made her drink the milk and she passed out in his arms.

The next day after breakfast they drove towards one of the places which Uday had selected out of the catalogue given by the hotel. It was a beautiful place with flora and fauna. In the midst of the jungle there was a waterfall too. And Manveer's whole day was spent among the nature. They had planned to go back by night and had brought a packed lunch. Life couldn't get more better than this. All the incidents of previous months looked like which had happened to someone else. Not them.
Uday teased her about her Behaviour yesterday night and said "aaj Swami-Swami' nahi karogi?
"Woh sirf shaadi ki raat ke liye tha" She showed him her toung teasing him back.
After lunch they set out on foot for trekking and explored the jungle. There was a meadow over there and they lay on the grass holding each others hand. They spoke for hours together about how life had taken a 360 degree turn, and various other things.
Soon it was dark before they could realize and oh yes! they had to get back to the hotel too'
They set out towards the car and after a few minutes both of them realized at the same time that they had lost their way.
It was a moonlit night and the trees around them looked like ghosts. They were in the midst of thick jungle where no mobile signals reached and Wild animals frequented.
"Uday yeh aage toh Ghana jungle nazar aaraha hai, lagta hai hum raasta bhatak gaye! Ab hum wapas kaise jaayenge?" Cried out Manyata.
Uday was not at all worried about lost ways or wild animals. His mind was focusing on something else altogether. As Manyata stood there ready to cry for help, he suddenly said "Hum wapas nahi jaayenge Pari" in a very husky tone.
Now a new fear took over Manyata's mind over the existing one. Fear of unknown. A chill ran down her spine and her hair stood on its end. She recognized the carnal hunger in Uday's eyes and started backing off. She was not sure but he might have planned this in advance. He took out his Ipod from the back pocket and this very seductive song began to play:
| Roshni Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere Roshni Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere
Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe Sapnon Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere Sapnon Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere
Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe
Dhoonda Hai Dhoonda Hai Tujhe Aakash Upar Tale Shayad Kisi Badri Mein Lipti Hui Tu Mile
Oh Dhoonda Hai Dhoonda Hai Tujhe Aakash Upar Tale Shayad Kisi Nadiyaa Pe Chalta Huva Tu Mile Roshni Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere
Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe Maine Samay Rok Ke Tera Pata Poocha Hain Mili Nadi Se Kehke Saagar Tale Dhoonda Hain
Ho Lehron Pe Chalte Huve Paani Ke Phan Choote Hain Jaise Tere Haath Ho Mera Yeh Tan Choote Hain
Roshni Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe
Sapnon Se Bhare Bhare Bhare Bhare Naina Tere Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe Chooke Bole Na Choo Na Mujhe |
As the song played in the background he came very near her. She felt his hot breath on her face and closed her eyes. He started planting soft kisses on her face and as the song advanced his kisses became more intense. She replied in more or less the same manner and together they moved to the songs beats. Manyata's heart was beating its own rhythm and she enjoyed its music. As the song reached its end two bodies rather two souls merged and they became one. It was difficult to tell which one was which. There was nothing to be said and nothing to be spoken. The forest, the night, the hard stones and grass underfoot blurred and only the glow of first love remained. That was the brightest and breathtaking.

The next morning Manyata woke up to the sound of a song bird nearby. The sky looked bright and sun had just raisen. Her bindi was sticking to Uday's shirt. She remembered what had taken place last night and felt a lump raising in her throat.
'Parineeta' she had heard this word from a Bengali friend of hers and now she was 'Parineeta''the married woman, in every sense.
It felt the song bird in its own language was congratulating them on their new life. The starting of something new. It was a little scary but she was ready to face it all if she had Uday with her.
After Uday woke up they started towards the Hotel holding hands. Rather walked towards the new future and the jungle bid them adieu in its own manner.
