She sighed , it was two days since they came to London . She had already made new friends in her uni and loved going there . Coming to this new environment had helped her a lot . She felt much better here . Meera , Sameer and she had got 2 apartment . Meera and Manyata stayed in one while in the neighbourhood stayed Sami with Rahul , their new friend .
All four were in the same classes and were like best buddies , never left each other's side . One amazing thing according to Manyata that had happened after coming here was that Sami and Meera had finally started dating . She knew that both liked each other .
She came to know about Sami's feelings when she had seen a jealous and angry Sami crushing his poor sandwich in uni canteen when he had seen a guy flirting with Meera .Then she had to use all her energy to stop him from going to that guy and punching him. She had understood everything at that time and confronted Sami later on after which he had opened up to her .
Meera had always been open to Manyata about everything . After the canteen incident , She had told Manyata about how she didnt like that guy and had compared him to Sami . After that Manyata had come to know that Meera had deep feelings for Sami . She started comparing the guy with nearly everyone and talked about him everytime .
She had waited to see those two together like mads and had done a lot to get them closer . She giggled as she remembered how Sami had confessed his feelings at last during first day at the uni . She and Meera were sitting in the canteen waiting for Sami when Rahul first met us . He came to our table and turned to Meera and said "Hey beautiful ! im Rahul." Sami had come there just at that time and mistook it for something else . Poor Rahul , wonder what he was gonna say at that time...but all that came out was a shout . "Vo meri gf hai dur reh usse " Sami had shouted while manu n Meera just stood up shocked . Sami pulled Meera and took her outside with her while Rahul smiled and said "tumhara friend thoda psycho lagta hai " . After that Sami had talked to Rahul on meera's request and they had become really good friends after that .
She looked around herself . This was her favourite place . It was at 2 km walking distance from her uni . It was like her dream place . It was really beautiful with a river with clean blue water and greaanery all around . She loved to sit near the river under a big tree and relax . She could just sit there for hours writing her diary , humming songs , thinking about things which had happened , just a day since she discovered it n it was her favourite already .
She felt someone close her eyes from behind lightly . She held the hand on her eyes to take it off and looked back . She was surprised to see Rahul here .
Rahul " hello ? " he said waving his hand in front of her eyes .
Manyata " tum...yahan ? "
Rahul "haan mai yahan . aur kyun na Hun ? Aakhir ye meri favourite Jagah hai . Kitni sundar hai...yahan Akar mai apni saari problems Bhool jaata Hun " he said as he sat next to her .
Manyata " haan issiliye ye jagah mujhe bhi itni pasand aayi " she said closing her eyes and letting out a big sigh .
They sat there for sometime , just enjoying the environment and the silence . Then Manyata remembered something and got worried .
Manyata "Rahul tumhare paas watch hai ? mai apna mobile aur watch dono laana bhool gayi aaj."
Rahul " yaa its 4. Manyata apna mobile humesha saath rakha karo naa...koi problem ho gayi to humme contact kaise karogi ?"
Manyata "yaa , vo aaj subah late ho gayi thi na issliye bhool gayi . anyways im late , gotta go . byyee"
Rahul "where are you going "
Manyata "uhhmmm abhi to late ho rahi hun sorry yar badme baat karte hain " she rushed up and ran towards the road . She got a cab and told him to rush to a cafe which was on a 15 minutes drive from there .
Manyata thinks 'ohh no im late ! ab to woh dono mujhe pakka maar dalenge . How can i be late today ? urrgghhh aaj humaare friendship ki third year anniversary hai and mai bhool gayi...you are soo dead manu...tu toh gayi' she thought as she told the driver to drive faster for the hundredth time .
She still remembered how Sami and Uday had surprisd the two girls by giving a surprise party on their frst anniversary . They had enjoyed and stayed up almost the whole night and then slept during the lectures . She giggled remembering the teacher's face after seeing the four sleeping on their benches . They had bunked the rest of the day and gone back at their homes to sleep.
She came out of her thoughts as the car stopped . She hurriedly paid the driver and ran inside the cafe . She searched for the two and found them glaring at her sitting at one of the corners of the cafe . She gulped and walked towards them slowly to see them turn their faces to look everywhere except her . 'ignore waala trick' she thought ' ye toh bilkul kaam nahi karega'
