~Miracle of Life~
It was a beautiful winter morning. It was sharp 7 am when Manyata decided to wake up from the sleep. She had been experiencing restless sleep and morning a lot lately. She opened her eyes, and pulled herself up to sit straight on the bed. She looked at the other side of the bed and found her husband lying next to next and still deep in sleep. He was looking like a baby while sleeping, so cute and adorable she thought. She always wanted their child to be just like him whereas he wanted their child to be just like her. While looking at Uday, adoring him with her gleaming eyes, her hands automatically crawl up her belly and rest their comfortably. She could feel it, feel the mesmerizing movements inside her. Those movements inside her always made her wonder what were her two babies doing inside at that moment. She was a curious mom, Mom of twins. Yes Manyata was now full 9 months pregnant with twins. She had got all she ever wanted although she was quiet scared of the unknown. The unknown was in fact the much known fact, which was giving birth. She had been pregnant for the first time, it was a whole new experience for her but at the same time she was terrified of the pain that she was now going to go through any minute. Her due date was 2 days away, she was preparing herself for the big day but who seemed to be even more nervous than her was her dearest husband Uday.
Since the day he heard about Manyata's pregnancy he had been reading way too many mom magazines and watching too many movies with birth scenes. And honestly speaking those only made him even more scared. He was one young anxious father, he was so happy to be a father yet he feared the process so much. While these thoughts were running into her head, all of a sudden she had a mood swing. She thought, why is he still sleeping when all three of us are awake...daddy is such a sleepy head , lets wake him up...she slowly moves her hand and caresses his face, he was just so beautiful and perfect that she always used to get carried away. She moves down a little on his side and tries to wake him up by running her hands through his hair, but he didn't seem to feel anything, she tried once more this time by kissing him on his hard yet luscious lips. His lips were one thing that used to function as drugs for her. He kissed him gently on the lips but he still didn't seem to wake up. She was now getting annoyed, she wanted him to talk to her, and she kept on thinking of how to wake him up and just then an evil smile creeped up her face. She had something evil cooking in her head. She knew how to wake him up right away. She slowly bent down and yelled in his ears
Manyata: (in his ears)...I'm in labor...ooohhh gosshhh its coming...
And that was all she had to do, he instantly jumped out of bed, with his hair all messed up, eyes smudged and face all terrified...
Uday: haan??...what happen...??...you in labor..oh gosshh manyata you in labor..???
Manyata: (kept on sitting enjoying his reaction, she thought of acting a little)...pheww...pheww...ooohh man I think it's coming...its cominggg...
Uday: (freaking out)...omggg we gotta do something...you relax...pheww...breathe...ummm...w..what should I do...I will call unnati...
Manyata: (starts laughing)...Uday not yet baby...not yet...
Uday: (looking all confused and panicky)...but you're in labor right...???
Manyata: noo baby...no yet...I was just playing with ya...wanted to see your reaction...(she laughs)
Uday: (sighs and sits on the bed)...dude you really scared the crap out of me...i thought you were going through labor...it's not funny man, I'm very touchy about this stuff...
Uday's words were so honest and cute that she couldn't help but smile...
Manyata: awww baby...don't worry, I think I got this...
Uday: you sure princess...because I'm freaking out man...you know how scary all that stuff is, when babies literally come out...like OUT OUT...and we have to go through two of them at once...man it's gonna hurt...
Manyata: (swallows down her saliva)...you know I'm the one giving birth and you're genuinely scaring the crap out of me...you know what, we'll be strong and act as one team...team work...what's say...???
Uday: team work? Sure honey but what am I going to do? My pushing won't help you...(innocently)
Manyata: yeah I know...I wish we could both push together...but you can be in there with me...
Uday: (all of a sudden very nervous)...ummm...m..m...me...???...are you sure honey???
Manyata: YES...I am sure...you have to be there with me, while I go through it, you're my focal point man...moral and physical support...so I could yell at you in there when the babies are on their way out...that what I saw in movies...
Uday: oh you're talking about that movie in which Wife literally drags her husband into the delivery room and the whole time keeps cursing at him because the baby wasn't coming out...yeahhh...I saw it too...it looked kind of creepy don't ya think...???
Manyata: SHE WAS GIVING BIRTH UDAY...of course it was creepy...(she looks down at her belly)...I can't wait to see my babies...
Uday: our babies...(he smiles at her bends down and kisses her belly and then kisses her on the lips)
Uday: don't worry princess...we got this...
Manyata: (sighs)...oh yeah...totally... we so got this...(sarcastic)
After a long scary conversation, Uday decides to get up and go take shower whereas Manyata keeps on lying down on her bed. It was now around 8 am. Uday was busy looking at himself in mirror when Manyata felt something twinge inside her. It was not one of those movements that she was used to, it was very different and yet extremely painful. The pain was now increasing in intensity and she couldn't help but yell out loud in pain. Uday was grabbing his towel when he heard Manyata scream, He again freaked out all of a suddenly but then thought Manyata was messing up with him again and so he tried to play her trick on her and he didn't respond. She kept on yelling and he kept on singing random songs...
Uday: (singing songs to tease Manyata)...I'm sexy and I know it...
Manyata: (yells at him in pain)...uuugghhh...UDAY IT'S COMING...YOU RETARD COME HERE...Ahhhaaahhh...
Uday: shawty fire burning on the dance floor...wooohooo...
Manyata: (crying in pain)...NOOO...mama'a water brreaking on the bed ...wwooohooohooo...aaa.. aaahhh...
Her crying and yelling sounds were so loud that it was clearly audible even down staires...Unnati heard Manyata's voice and quickly ran into her room, Whe she came in she saw uday dancing casually in front of mirror with a towel around his neck and Manyata lying on the bed in an awkward position and yelling in pain. Unnati got really upset at Uday for not paying attention to Manyata...
Unnati: (to uday)...WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING DAD...are you kidding me? bhabhi is in pain and you're dancing like a maniac...
Uday: hahahaha...no unnati she is just playing, she does it to scare me all the time...it's one of Manyata's "torturing Uday" techniques...but this time, i won't be fooled...hahaha...
Unnati: Shut up dada...she is not acting...her water broke...she is in labor gaddamn it...
Manyata: Aaahhaahhaaa...(crying)
Unnati runs to Manyata, while Uday stands there looking shocked, his worst nightmare was here...she was in labor...
Unnati (to Manyata): Hey babhi relax...breathee haann...we'll do something...(panicking)
Manyata: aahhhaaahhhaaa...it's coming...ahahhhaa...(crying)
Unnati: (to uday)...DADAAA...come on do something...we need to take her to the hospital now...QUICKKK...
Uday: y..y..yeaaahhh...I'll pick her up and you call the doctor to keep everything ready...oohhh Godd please heelppp...
He goes to manyata and picks her up...
Uday (to himself): aahh...so heavy man...
Manyata: (was now furious, she holds his collar)...because there's three of us here YOU IDIOT...i swear i won't spare you..ahhaahahaa...(crying)...it's coming...aaahhhaahhh...
Uday: calm down baby...bbb...breathe in ...brreaathee out...
Manyata: SHUT UP...aaahhhaahhh...I'm doing that already...mummyy...it hurts like crap...
Uday: don't worry sweetheart...Komal anunty is coming to the hospital...okayy...you just hold your horssesss...
Manayta: I want Jay to be in the delivery room...AAAhhhahahaa...
Uday: WHAT???
Manyata: YES...didn't you hear me... I WANT JAY TO BE IN THE DELIVERY ROOM...I want her to see how much it hurts...she needs to learn a lesson...DO IT MAN...I WANT HER THERE...YOU GET IT...aaahhh...aaahhh...
Uday: yy..yyesss...w..wwhat ever you say...
They were finally there at the hospital, Everyone was already there, Komal, Brijraaj, Giriraaj, Jay, Vijay bhai and everyone...Manyata's pain was growing more and more and all she could do nothing but yell, shout and cry in pain. At the hospital, the doctor took her to the delivery room and made her lie down.
Nurse: we have to wait sometime...her contractions aren't coming properly yet...and doctor isn't ready yet either...
Manyata: NOOO do it now...my babies are ready to come out...TAKE EM OUT...NOW... aaahhh...aaahhh...
Doctor: calm down Mrs. udaybeer...doctor will be here any minute...
Uday: sshhh...sshhh...baby...calm down ssshhh...
Manyata: stop shushing me...You do something, take out my kid...NOW...or else I'll eat you alive...aaahhh...
Uday: (looking freaked out and speechless)...
Both Unnati and Jay enter the delivery room, and as soon as jay sees Manyata in that condition going all crazy she turns around trying to escape but Unnati hold her...
Unnati: don't act smart Jay...if I stay you stay...you have to be here too while the babies comes out...
Jay: Oh NOOO...i can't do this...
Manyata: (yells at her)...don't you dare move you witch...aaahhh...aaahhh...
Nurse comes in with the doctor...
Manyata: (crying louder and louder in pain)...aahhh...aahhh...
Doctor: its time, she getting proper contractions now...someone hold her leg...
Manyata: HOLD IT QUICK...aahhh...
Both Unnati and Jay, held her legs and it was now time for her to push...
Doctor: babies are on the way...all you gotta do it pushh...alright manyata...just PUSHH...
Manyata: (pushing)...UUUGGHHH...UUGHHH...(crying)
Uday: Push baby push...
Unnati: a little more Bhabhi...you can do it...pushhh...
Jay: (getting dizzy)...I'm never having sex again...
Uday: PUSHHH...PUSSHHH...
Manyata: (yells at Uday)...I AM PUSHING...WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM DOING DANCING...aaahhh
Doctor: almost there Manyata...just push a little more...you can do it...
Manyata: (pushing)...UUGGHHH...
Uday: PUSSHH PRINCESS...PUSHHH...
Manyata (to Uday): one more time you said push...and I swear...uughhh...I'll kill you...uughhh...ughhh...aahhh..ughhh
Doctor: we're crowning...it's the head manyata...your baby is almost there...a little more pushh...
Unnati: come on bhai...I can see it too...just a little more...
Manyata: (pushed with all her power that she can)...uugghhh..ughh..UGGHHH...(a deep sigh of relief)
And that very moment, every one heard a cute little voice which seemed to be crying...
Doctor: congratulations...it's a baby boy...
Unnati: (Unnati holding baby in her hand)...Awww...he is beautiful...
Jay: (stunned )...WOW...
Uday: (unnati gives the baby to him)...our baby...(kisses the baby on the forehead)
While everybody was busy adoring the baby Manayta kept on lying where she was, she all of a sudden strted getting more contractions...she was once again in pain...
Manyata: (yelled)...AAAhhh...you guys left my other baby in, take it out now...UUghhh...
Doctor: your second baby is on the way now...this is should be easy, just push...keep pushingg...
Uday: come on Manyata...breath in and out...and just pusshh...
Manyata: I wishhh you were the one pushing...then you should have known...(crying in pain)...it hurts...ugghhh
Uday: a little more baby...we're almost there...
Doctor: you need to push harder now...the head is out now...PUSHHH...
And there was another cry, cry of their second child; she was born exactly 20 minutes after her brother...
Doctor: its baby girl this time...
Manyata: (smiles with relief)...FINALLYY...
The doctor brings both of the babies, to Uday and Manyata...and both and they hold the babies in their arms with all the love and protection.
Uday: see even God had to give up in front of our demands...you wanted a princess and me a princess and we both have our wishes fulfilled...
Manyata: this is just so beautiful...look at their tiny little feet, their round angelic eyes, cute little hands...(she gets tears in her eyes)
Uday: thank you princess, thank you so much for giving me such happiness in life...I love you so much...
Manyata: I love you too...but I have something to say...NO MORE BABIES...
Uday: (starts laughing)...Awww I can't see you in pain either...(and he hugs her)
