Like literally I was about to cry when you described Manyata's pain and then the ending part where UV felt bad seeing her so hurt..Gosh you made me so emotional!😳
And I honestly hate you for where you ended it! Pair of hands grabbing her! Really now? Such a cliffhanger!😡Please man, I usually dont do this but today for you I'm begging you to update soon so I can be blessed with your beautiful writing!
PS: are you like a university english student or something? Or do you just read a lot of books? caz your writing is that damn brilliant!

Btw, i'm not over with school yet..university is a faaar future..! And an English student I'll never be cuz I took up Science! I have no freaking idea what made me do that..it just leaves me with no time for novels and stuff! Havent read one since 2010..and I really do feel ashamed as I say that! Lol!
You're too sweet Ranjana..thanks for doing that for me..!! But with my exams starting off next week, I really dunno when I'll get the time to upload it. I'm even done writing it but punching it away on my cell will take ages!! :(

Yes, its actually me updating so soon! (Ranjana, hope you hate me less now!)
Even if not the entire chapter, I'd definitely upload as much of it as possible.
I still can't believe I've reached the end. I'm feeling like I've been writing since long back even though its such a short story! I'd really miss writing it! :')
Before I get teary-eyed, I'd like to dedicate it to each and everyone who has ever read and liked my work. I cant thank you enough for all I've recieved!

CONFESSING TO THE NIGHT
(Part Six)
Just as she was contemplating what to say, two dark hands clamped around her arms wrenching her backwards. A startled yelp escaped her lips as she stumbled, her back hitting a hard, rough surface. Before her, Uday stood frozen with eyes wide, trying to grasp the sudden turn of events.
"We normally have other ways to welcome trespassers," a heavy voice barked. Trapping her wrists in a deadlock, the man shoved her round smashing her against himself.
"But every once in a while, when beauties like you are the trespassers, we're happy to bend our rules." He said pulling a mischevious smile.
With her mind reeling at the speed of light, fear slowly creeped up her face as a vague glimpse of the signboard at the alleyway crossed her mind. She glanced back at Uday with panic-filled eyes cursing her careless self. She screamed in pain as her captor twisted her wrists and pulled her chin, making her face him.
"Now don't crack me up thinking that loser behind you can lessen the chances of me getting you." He barked at her face. She looked at him with disgust, struggling to free her arm.
"You'd only get her in your filthy dreams!" Came a low, yet threatening growl.
Startled, her eyes flicked to the speaker. She flinched at the look in his eyes even though they weren't directed at her. She wasn't unused to the threatening glares she had recieved from him. But this glare looked lethal.
"That we'll see!" The goon threatened and turned his neck to let out a whistle. She chose the moment to stamp her foot on his toe and prayed for her heels to do the magic. Fortunately, he let go of her and slumped down screaming a string of curses. Not wasting a minute further, she rushed to him and flung herself at his arms, grabbing fistfuls of his shirt.
"Uday-" she whimpered, her voice laced with fear.
"Shh..its ok!" He said softly, running his hands through her hair. Just as they were about to turn and make an escape, the shattering noice of glass froze their steps, reververating in the isolated surroundings. She turned her head to see countless broken shards of beer bottles scatterd on the road and four men standing smugly in the mess, a few more unpacking themselves from a jeet parked nearby. Her captor let go of his toe and stood up smirking.
"You'll pay Miss Beauty!" He said smiling threateningly.
"You wouldn't dare!" He growled, the menacing look back in his eyes, as he pushed her behind him.
"The hell I would!" The goon said as he advanced, aiming a punch at his face.
Her breath died as she screamed for him, horrified. But he cleanly dodged the goon's attack, effectively connecting his fist with his nose. The unexpected impact had him stumbling back until falling in a bloodied heap on the ground after Uday punched the soul out of him. Few of the followers charged towards him but were soon added to heap on the ground as he tackled them with the skill of an expert, not earning as much as a scratch.
"Manyata", he turned back to look at her. "Get out of here. Go wait outside this alley. I'll be there right away." He ordered, kicking the sixth man unconcious.
She looked at him with disbelief before vehemently shaking her head. "Don't even think I'm going to leave you alone." The mere thought of it made her nerves shiver.
He closed his eyes, trying to get a hold on his anger at her stubborness. "You are going Manyata", he said with an undeniable authority to his voice. She looked torn between her resolve to stay beside him and the compulsion radiating from his order. He sighed, trying to make his point clear.
"I can't risk having you here. Please leave. I'll be back with you right before you know it." He pleaded.
"But..promise me first", she swallowed, her throat going dry due to her rough breathing. "That you'll stay safe!" She finished as a tear slipped down involuntarily.
He stared at her for a few seconds, taken aback. "I promise." He said softly. "Now go."
"Please", she begged inaudibly, taking a hesitant step back, her eyes still lingering on his. Out of nowhere, hand gripped her foot, sending her off balance as she fell head first on the road. Blinking her eyes, she tried to fight the throbbing pain spreading over her head.
"Hello, Miss Beauty! We meet again." The deadly familiar voice sent chills down her spine.
"Let go!" She muttered struggling to free leg while blindly kicking at his face with her free one. She swallowed the screams that tried to escape her lips. She could not afford to distract Uday, do anything that could hurt him. One of her blind kicks finally succeded in making it to his face making him groan in pain.
"You little prick", the man cursed, twisting her ankle at an odd angle. She bit her lip as an excruciating pain manifested itself in her ankle, extracting tears from her eyes. It was pointless to struggle further.

Her head wheezed as she felt her strength slowly retreating from her already exhausted body, her mind slowly approaching blankness. Her face dropped to the ground as she felt a sharp piece tearing her cheek before her eyelids drooped shut.
~ ~ ~
A dull pounding in her head tore her from a state of oblivion as her senses returned slowly. Her eyes fluttered open to find herself slumped against the passenger seat of the jeep that belonged to the goons. Alarmed, she sat bolt upright and searched around only to find Uday in the driver's seat. Sighing, she leant back against her seat. He glanced towards her, the relief washing over features to see her conscious were clearly visible before he quickly masked it, returning his gaze back to the road. Her chest cringed at his behavior. Not knowing what to say, she looked on at the road. Within minutes, the palace gates came to view, making her shift uneasily in her seat. She dreaded to be back to the place that did nothing but torture her with his memories.
"Please don't take me home", she said slowly, finally finding her voice.
He looked at her face incredulously before meeting her eyes. They seemed to be suffering as she looked on at the approaching building. He craved to take her sufferings away. If only he could. He did not wish to know the cause behind it, dreading it would be the person he had failed to erase from her heart.
"Where do you want me to take you?" he asked without giving away anything going on in his mind.
"I don't know." She whispered.

Continued:

He killed the engine once they were parked outside the small park where she had spotted him before. Mentally thanking him for listening to her, she opened the door. As soon as her foot made contact with the ground, a tearing ache shot up her ankle making her gasp. Within seconds, he ran around the front of the vehicle, appearing before her. Wrapping her arm round his neck, he scooped her up effortlessly, as though she was lighter than feather.
Her heart entered the rapid palpitation mode, her chest bursting into a cluster of madly fluttering butterflies. Not sparing her as much as a glance, he walked over to a bench lit by a dim lamp post and gently made her sit. Walking over to the other side, he sat as far as he could manage on the narrow two-seater bench. Time seemed to pass painfully slow as they sat wordlessly. The atmosphere was weighted down by the tension of unspoken feelings. The sky above too was as heavy with clouds as their hearts were with pent up emotions. The air separating them got denser by the second turning into a transparent yet impermeable wall. He was sitting stiffly, gripping the edge of the bench, his face angled away so she could not have a glimpse of it. Unable to sustain anymore in the virtually condensed air that seemed to suffocate her, she finally broke her silence.
"You did not leave", she said still unsure, making it sound more like a question.
He glanced at her with unreadable eyes. "No."
"Why?" She asked her eyes not letting go of his, hoping him to respond instead of closing his walls.
His lips twitched as he held his words from slipping out. Several shades of emotions swarmed through his eyes before he clenched his jaw and tore his eyes away from her, settling on the persistent shade of coldness.
It did not even seem possible for her heart to break more. But the tightening of her chest and the burning in her eyes told otherwise. She had neither the strength nor the means to mend it once again. She could not find a trace of her Udayveer in the person sitting next to her. Her Udayveer was dead.
Rising up, she turned to leave ignoring her protesting ankle, only to have her arm yanked back. Her back smacked against his chest before he turned her round. She stepped back and stared at the ground, refusing to look at him. He lifted her chin, his fierce eyes burning a hole through her.
"What do you think you were doing? You're hurt, do you realize that?" he muttered, his eyes turning darker.
"Like you care!" she spat back, reciprocating the anger in his eyes.
She saw a shock sweep across his face before his eyes burned with fury.
"I do care Manyata!" He yelled, clutching her arms tightly. He looked vulnerable for the first time.
She did not flinch from the pain his grip was causing her. She just wanted more of him - it being hurtful or loving was immaterial. She could finally sense a crack in the walls he had constructed around his heart.
"Princess..call me Princess, please!" She said in a small voice.
His eyes calmed down and immediately conveyed his struggle to hold himself strong, to stop himself from breaking down. His hard facade melted seeing her expectant, vulnerable eyes and felt a few more loads being placed on his already weakened heart.
As usual, continued below...!

"Princess", his lips could no longer resist.
No sooner had the words escaped his lips, he felt himself thrashed back, her arms locking themselves around his neck. A pair of soft lips crushed against his. With his senses clogged, he stood baffled by her aggression. Within seconds, he felt his own aggression take over as he kissed her back with an equal force. His hands travelled roughly to the small of her back and pressed her up closer, deepening the kiss. The sky erupted into a deafening roar of thunder before loosening its hold on the countless water drops. The raindrops danced on their skin as they stood quenching their desires.
The suppressed instances of the uncountable heartbreaks and betrayals, she had fetched him, resurfaced as his hands explored her back, feeling her skin through her wet clothes.
She shivered at the feel of his hands over her wet clothes that stuck to her like a second skin. Her fingers tangled themselves in his hair as her insides burned with desire. She had had enough of his indifference. The frustration for her untold feelings, for her adamant mind blind to the truth, for not having him around when she felt lonely amidst a crowd of people slowly evaporated as her hands skimmed down his perfectly toned body with a burning passion engulfing her heart.
Growing out of breath, she reluctantly broke the kiss, the rain still pouring down steadily. Resting his forehead against hers, he gasped for air, his arms still secured around her waist. His mind snapped to the present, as he processed what just happened. He hastily retreated, disentangling her arms from around his neck and looked at her with an undecipherable expression.
"We should leave", he said setting his jaws tight and bent down to scoop her up in his arms.
She looked at him with disbelief as he reconstructed his walls. It would kill her to let go after getting so close. She grabbed his shoulders, stopping him midway and closed her eyes drawing the strength to speak.
"I'm not going anywhere before you know what you should know." She said, every word echoing a firm resolve.
"What should I know?" He asked as coldly as before.
With her heart beating a million times per second she could not find her voice to force the words out of her lips.
He breathed out a sigh and turned to leave. She struggled for her lips to move when she heard his footsteps slowly recede away from her. Her eyes shot open as she saw with an engulfing fear his retreating back. Nervousness forgotten, she finally forced the words out. "I love you, Yuvraj Udayveer Singh!"
He froze. She did not need a confirmation that it was her confession that stopped him, not the up-roaring thunder. She waited but he did not turn. Nor spoke a word. Just stood under the lamp post, his palms clenched into fists. She limped forward, her feet sloshing in the rain, and stood facing him. She looked at his closed eyes with teary ones.
Sensing her presence, he opened his eyes which were no more cold and hard but soft and tender. He could make out the tears sprawling down her face amidst the rain. He cupped her cheeks, tracing his thumb along a tear as it slipped down her smooth cheek. Even in the dim light, her wet face shone as if it was coated with a silver layer. A narrow streak of red was prominent against her left cheek.
Her legs gave up and she slumped to the ground as if her body had been saving the last bit of energy for her to make her confession. He knelt down beside her and wiped her tears away. She winced as his fingers brushed the cut on her cheek. Giving her a guilty look, he reached behind her and brought her dupatta forward. Dabbing the soft, cottony fabric at her cut, he wiped it clean, still not uttering a word.
"Won't you say anything?" she asked uneasily.
"What do you want me to say, princess?" He asked in a calm voice.
She bit her lip, deciding whether to ask the question she had been most dreading to. Bracing herself, she asked in a small voice,"Do you still love me?"
He looked at her slightly bemused, before cupping her cheeks tenderly.
"I'd never stopped." He declared with a soft smile.
She felt an ecstatic smile break across her face as she finally cherished the implications of boundless happiness. Her eyes sparkled with blissful tears as no more part of her felt dead. Overwhelmed by the million emotions rushing to her heart all at once, she threw herself at his arms, drowning their warmth.
"I'm sorry Uday. Please.. please forgive me!" She mumbled between sobs.
"Shh..Its okay princess", he mumbled, caressing her back.
"No, its not. I-"
He pulled back, shushing her rant midway.
"None of those matter anymore, Princess! I fell in love with you for once and for ever." He said, his eyes intent and serious before his lips closed in on her.

Time seemed to pass unnoticed as they were engrossed savouring each other to their heart's content. His fingers dug into the depths of her wet locks with his heart erupting like fireworks as his eternal wait was finally rewarded. He no longer felt soulless.
They broke apart once they were driven out of breath. She immediately dropped her eyes to the ground grinning like an idiot, unable to get a hold on her giddiness. He smirked seeing her before pulling on a serious face.
"Princess, lets get you home. I cant afford to miss tomorrow's flight too."
Her eyes shot up to him as colour drained out of her face. She choked on her breath. He was going to leave her? She stared at him wordlessly.
He pressed his lips together looking at her horrified face before erupting into an uncontrollable fit of laughter.
"You're.." he said, before another round of laughter interrupted him while she stared at him, clueless.
"You're too cute, Princess!" He managed, pulling her cheek once he had composed himself.
She looked at him incredulously upon realizing his little joke.
"Halkat, beda, yeda! You'll never change!" She screeched, punching his arm but ended up cursing when the impact was more pronounced on her fist rather than his strong arm.
"True there." He said, flicking her nose, earning a smile from her finally.
Snaking his arms around her waist he pulled her close. She let out a surprised shriek as the unexpected impact threw her out of balance and she bumped against him sending both of them towards the ground. His back landed on the grass with a low thud before she smacked on top of him. A deep blush crept up to her cheeks as she opened her eyes to see his face just inches from her. Grinning, he reached up to plant a kiss on her forehead.
"Please don't leave me again!" they both whispered together. Amused smiles crossed their lips that echoed the answer nonetheless.
She rested her head on his chest, the rhythmic sound of his heartbeats humming in her ears. The rain, which had restored to a slower, smoother rate, drizzled happily. Closing her eyes, she wished for time to freeze, to be able to live every breath of her life feeling the bliss she was feeling, as she felt his strong arms wrap themselves around her.
