Okay, now what was that, really?😲
I really felt that Maanyata will start crying any moment if UV continued charming Meenaxi and throwing those killer smirks at Maanyata. Its like Maanyata went through stages of emotions in flat 5 minutes.
Absence of UV : Restlessness, anxiety , fuming anger.
Entry of UV : Anger turning into attitude and a cute biatch act.
Counterattack of UV: Jealousy, hurt ego and feelings, heightening of emotions.
WOW! I was like, woman, look away from him and see where you are sitting. More than jealousy , it was Maanyata's hurt little heart that refuses to accept or even acknowldege that UV can pay attention to any other woman. How can he ask any other woman out or smile at her when she is right next to him? And UV is no less - he has played this game before he even learned to walk. He rubbed in the hurt an reveled in it because that is Vintage UV. You do not get away with hurting him or trying to be a one up on him , not even if you are the love of his life - Maanyata.
UV never moved his eyes from her face because he wants to push these feelings and reactions of Maanyata to a crescendo , to the limits so that she can come out with it for once and all about what she feels about him. It showed in his sarcastic comment that Maanyata needs him all the time to tutor her about her Princess Duties. He didn't look away because he wanted to hold her right there - in that moment when she looked betrayed by UV's interest in another woman. He wanted her to feel what it feels like to watch the love of your life smile at someone else.
Maanyata couldn't have looked away from UV because she was caught by the intensity of his eyes and his feelings - because she was hypnotized by her own rising feelings for UV which make her behave kiddish and irrational. Because he is making her feel the way she is apparently not supposed to feel. She was jealous, she was neglected, she was hurt , she was rejected and UV is going to make her cry a lot someday - that is the intensity into which ManVeer run.
Remember we all used to predict and joke that a day will come when Maanyata won't even be able to lift a spoon without UV's nod? That day has come and now, he is her drug for everything her mentor , guide, counselor and protector. She is emotionally dependent on him, she is attached to him but that 'switch' in the human heart that turns attachment into love is just waiting to be pushed on. Maanyata has long moved beyond friendship with UV. Infact , they were never friends - they were always two fighting and struggling halves of one whole. And bonded by fate , right? UV found her the day he was asked to marry someone else and he brought Maanyata back home the day he was about to be promised to someone else.
But again, loving UV is not easy - he comes at a price. And here , there is a lot of history , hidden secrets , dark acts and skeletons in the cupboard. If ManVeer are happening, falling in love with UV is going to be a test of fire for Maanyata. UV is a dark knight and that means a play of dark and light.
Oh, and i still feel Maanyata was about to cry in the last scene.
