Guys I hardly post in this forum, but I just couldn't help myself today. What was Cvs trying to show today that J was clever because she had her servant count all those grains and she administered the final result😊…Seriously, how is that helpful trait in a Yuvarani😃..she actually had her servant count 'EACH' grain😕…so when she gets the throne and in moment where 'Instance' decisions are needed she will have servant spend countless hours doing 'Futile' job…Man…Cv😡…Please use your brain…I could have appreciated if the Cvs showed 'the Power of Approximation'…meaning counting 1 pot of grain and multiplying the number of grains with the number of pots😃, the process will be faster yielding a pretty accurate result too Cv😃….isn't that kind of brain needed in a Yuvarani😆…I rest my case…😃

Hmmm...I disagree.

Cheating or not, how J handled the situation made her deserving to win. There are times when leaders have to do a job but that job is either too much for one person to handle or so time consuming that other important tasks are left at hold.

J didn't simply just order them to count, she sat sitting them do their job and keeping count of their work done. It means, as a leader she was not only taking responsibility for whatever they were doing but keeping a strict eye on it as well. Being a Yuvrani, there will many projects or jobs being done simultaneously in the kingdom and a good Yuvrani woul be able to keep tabs on everything that is happening.

M was wrong. It is a seemingly impossible task for one person. She didn't see through it. J knew that alone she can't do anything. ANY leader knows that without the support of his people, he can't do anything. J just called her "people" to help her while she saw them do the work. Not only do it, but by sitting with them she was giving them a kind of moral support that they weren't doing it in vain. Their leader was with them while they worked and the leader supported them. What else do they want? These people are born to work and if they are appreciated for it, they feel like they are in Heaven.

J knew the task before-hand, it was wrong. Her attitude after she won the task was also wrong. But how she handled the situation was correct. You honestly can't expect leaders to wake up and do all these trivial things by themselves and waste the day instead of going to the people who are doing these things, watch them, boost them, thank them and appreciate their hard work?

i think you are right to some extent

i want some different type of competition
instead of counting all grains which is very difficult for any person

they count it like as you said
it become easy n faster
mean creativity or something different method can be adopted
instead of counting all grains
it is very difficult
cvz bhe na yahen m aur j ka brain test hota
simple grains counting was not extraordinary thing
just like kids hahahahaha😆

but is mein manyata ke bhe mistake nae she is doing everything for the first time
n wo use to ha khud sa kaam karnay ke without taking help of others
so j jeet gye coz usay aadat ha servants sa kaam karwanay ke
that's the difference 😎

i think basic purpose yahan pa y show karna tha k manyata is not as much clever coz she was away from raj mahal for 16 years she never know how to tackle these type of situations
j know well so she already arranged the servants for this purpose
she was simple girl yesterday
coz jub sa wo palace mein ha wo khud sa kaam karty ha servants ko kum kehte ha so us waqt us na wohe soch rukhtay hua khud sa count kiya

To me neither J nor M came out the winner in the first round😉...and the CVs the biggest loser 😆...since they didn't think it through (as usual). Let me give you some examples, say instead of a bag of grains they were asked to do a simple addition of a huge series of numbers😃...and equally daunting task to me...o what did M do (she sat at did it the old fashion way😊), J broke the series into smaller groups and had servants to use say a calculator and then finally used a master calculator herself to get the final result😃 (good Leadership skill ... but nothing great 'out of the box' skill). But if she was really a great leader (even with her cheating), she could have used an Excel (right, using the right resources available = to great leadership skill)😉. Cvs were trying to show counting of a bag of grains..to me a futile task...it is like someone asking them to count Stars (that a Princess could have been asked to do in the olden golden days😉)...or like counting Blood cells in Modern times😆...no scientist when working to get a high output really sits and count each cells from a 1 ml of blood/patient...they put it in a scale and do extrapolation of the result (most accurate, in this scenario and less time consuming)...So I was actual pretty disappointed with the Cvs for not doing their homework...they did not really put forward any novel challenge😉, so we do expect a bit more brain from them😃 too...won't you say...😃.

The whole point of the task was to prove their leadership skills. If it was done through counting grains or counting numbers, it was no big deal. Numbers could be tricky? Maybe, J or M could have the higher IQ. Maybe the servants had a higher IQ. Playing with numbers is not easy. And if you are comparing it with some old age technique of counting stars then a) it was not night at that time and b) that was the whole point to test their knowledge. You are arguing about a calculator and Excel. Well, half of the audience might not even know what an Excel is.

The thing is, you didn't like the task personally. But to a general audience, it worked. Why? Because not everyone has the time and energy to sit through someone count numbers or blood cells. Grains did their work. Because counting grains is a impossible task. When a general audience saw this, the only thought in their mind was "How are they going to crack it?" making them curious and hooked on the tv. That's the CVs job, to keep the audience hooked. So what if the task they portrayed was useless and futile, it did its job to keep the majority hooked and in the dilemma of finding the winner. Thus, CVs did use their brain to do their job. Now instead if they had chosen a technically hard task with so much logic and mystery that only some Sherlock Holmes could see through it and that task would have made the audience change the channel to see something light and gripping, then that was the CVs failure.

So, I don't find any fault in either the task or the CVs thinking.

Mais, I am not trying to prove anything here...I am beyond that point with Hindi serial Cvs 😃, and Maybe you are right that generally Indian audiences are pretty medicre not know much about things like brain test, my point about a calculator or a Excel wasn't to show if the Indian audience knew or not about these things...my point if the serial is showing a computer on desk of a queen or blackberry on the show then the Cvs can't be progressive for some and not for other, they need to go through fully...if you are read my post I talked about the power of extrapolation (and not really even using a calculator)...Well we are all adults and as adult we can hardly change anyone's POV...I just put fwd something I thought was pretty mediocre of the Cvs, specially coming from the land where great stories of 'Chanakya', "Birbal' and "Gopal Bhar' are the stories told with pride to toddlers...I already rested my case😆

i think mias is right here, purpose was if a impossible task is thrown at u ,how would u best handle it with whatever resources were available to you.and even though J knew before hand, her way of tackling with the issue was right...like a leader should do...
