I actually think that was brilliantly done- Brij flipping out and basically calling Uday an outsider after he has been a member of the family for so long really drew a line in the sand. What would happen should Uday choose to tell his own father about Brij's rudeness and complete disrespect? At the end of the day Brij needs Uday- he wants Uday to marry Jai, he needs Uday's father for his business deals, and him kicking Uday out does not exactly inspire...loyalty to say the least.
