Chapter 9
(UV P.O.V)
I saw a gang of men walk through the forest nearby. What will happen if they came across Manyata? I decided to follow them from a distance, maybe I might find Manyata that way.
I heard them talk about a guy named Aakash Sharma. It was really strange, could it be the guy I employed? I knew Aakash was a dodgy person. He was up to something, and I had to find out. I quickly decided to call Unniti to do some research on Aakash.
"Hey Unniti?"
"Yes Dada. How's Manyata?"
"Look, I've kind of lost her, but I've found these men. They're talking about a guy called Aakash Sharma" I told her, wanting to get into the details quickly.
"You've already lost her? OMG Dada! How could you?" she screamed from the other side.
"Look, I'm going to try and find her. I don't have much time. Just research about that guy. I'll phone later when I've got Manyata back," I quickly said.
"Ok Dada, all the best. Stay safe," she told me.
"You too choti," I ended my hanging up the phone call.
I tried to listen into their conversation, to try and get more information about him
"I hate that Aakash. I knew he would betray us, and look how he did it. He went and helped escape our victim!" One guy stated.
"You're not the only one who hates him. He must be found and killed. He has betrayed us not once but twice. Now our boss is very angry with us. We could have made tons of money from that girl" Another one said.
So this Aakash is probably wanting to keep Manyata to himself, so he could get money? And what about him and Jay? I could only find that out one way, but that wasn't the right moment now.
I kept following the group, they pretty much seemed like Ghundas now. I could faintly hear someone shout out my name. It must have been Manyata, and now the ghundas have heard that too. They said something that I couldn't hear, and walked towards where the voice seemed to come from.
I quickly followed, if it was Manyata, then she needed my help. Poor thing, she didn't know that there were other people in the forest here as well.
Walking more forward, I started to see a figure. It was wearing a green dress, so I knew it was a girl. The ghundas kept going forard, but hid behind trees in each step. Soon I heard a scream, and then all the ghundas appeared in front of her.
I ran towards her, fighting off the men surrounding her. "Manyata are you OK?" I asked her. She had fear in her eyes, and tears had started to fall down her pale cheeks. I just wanted to reassure her, tell her that I was there to help her.
Most of the men started to gang up on me. I couldn't give up, I had to fight for Manyata and me. Or else we would die here, and it all would have been my fault.

(M P.O.V)
I screamed when I saw it was the same man who had kidnapped me. How could he be here? I thought it would have been Uday. After I had screamed, Uday suddenly appeared, fighting off the men.
"Are you OK?" he asked me. I couldn't answer, it felt like I couldn't talk anymore. How could all this suddenly happen.
I felt hot tears fall down my cheeks as I watched Uday fight off the men. I wanted to help him, but I was struggling. Two men had held me with a tight grip, and it hurt so much. I knew I would die soon, we wouldn't be able to get out alive.
Soon, Uday managed to fight most of the men, and rushed towards me to get me out of the tight grips from the other men. I could almost see his pain in his face.
Suddenly, a man appeared with a gun, and Uday turned around hearing his footsteps. "Let go of her," He ordered. But Uday ignored and tried harder to set me free. I saw the anger in the man's face when Uday didnt obey.
"Let go off her now and move away!" He shouted. Uday let go, but he didn't move away, instead he remained where he was.
"Why aren't you listening to me!" The man's voice boomed across the area. I felt so scared.
"Uday, please listen to him," I told him quietly, finally finding my voice.
"No Manyata, I know what I'm doing," he told me firmly. I saw the man get his gun out, aiming it at Uday.
"Uday please, just do this for me. Please move," But this time Uday just ignored me, and stood right in front of me. I struggled even more, finally getting free. I ran in front of Uday, I couldn't let him die for me.
"Manyata what are you doing?" Uday asked me in fear.
"It's all my fault, I started this, and I'm going to end this. I led you into my miserable life. I'm sorry," I told him. I closed my eyes, when I heard the gun go off. Soon I would be dead. Soon I would be left in peace.
"Nooo!" Uday screamed, I didn't feel the bullet go through, so I opened my eyes. To my horror, I saw Aakash stood in front of me. He fell to the ground.
I turned around to Uday with my eyes widened. "Aakash..." I whispered, tears starting to form.
"Manyata, I'm sorry but we have to go now!" Uday told me in an urgent voice. I pulled me along through the woods. I couldn't believe what I had seen just now. Aakash had died for me?
We ran through the rest of the forest quietly, and went into the car. We hadn't spoken knowing that we were both shocked by what we had seen just now. Uday quickly turned the engine off and started to drive away from the forest.
"Manyata, I'm so sorry. It's my fault this all happened. I brought you into the wood in the first place," he told me. I knew it wasn't his fault, I knew the ghundas would come back again one day to look for me.
"It's not your fault Uday. I knew they would come back for me. But I don't know how they found me," I stammered. We remained silent for some time, until I couldn't keep my eyes opened any longer. I slowly closed them, hoping that we would be OK.

(UV P.O.V)
I watched her sleep as I drove back to the apartment. I knew I had to phone Unniti and tell her everything about what had happened.
"Hello Unniti?"
"Yes dada, I've found quite alot about that Aakash guy," She told me.
"Good, I've found some things as well," I replied back to her.
"OK Dada, you go first,"
"OK, the men where ghundas, going after Manyata. Aakash was a ghunda, I think he helped Manyata to escape for his own reasons. But when I tried to saved Manyata, Aakash suddenly came in and got the bullet in him instead."
"Dada are you OK? And what about Manyata?" She asked me after she found out.
"We're both OK, but Manyata was quite shocked. Now tell me what you've found out about Aakash,"
"Aakash is appearently a criminal, that has been wanted to be found for quite along time. It said that he might change his name, and always travels from one place to another," She told me.
"That makes sense now, but he's dead. If the police are to come, then we must act like we know nothing about it." I told her.
"Yes," she agreed with me," but we also need to tell this to Manyata,".
"OK, we're at the apartment now, I guess I'll call you later choti,"
"OK bye Dada, take care." she hang up first this time.
I turned the car's engine off and got out of the car. I didn't want Manyata to wake up, so I carefully took her out of the car and carried her to my apartment. Since I couldn't get into her apartment, she could stay in the spare room in my place.
I tucked her into the bed, leaving the room. But to my surprise I found Jay sitting in the sofa.
"How did you get in here?" I asked her.
"Does it matter?" She said rolling her eyes.
"Look just get out,"
"That's not what you would say to Manyata, so why you being like that to me Uday?" She whined.
"What's your problem," I shouted at her. She could be so irritating, and always is a pest at the wrong times. "Look Jay, I'll talk to you tomarrow, I just really tired now," I told her. She angrily walked out of the front door, shutting it really loudly.
Phew, thats her gone. I went into the kitchen and got a glass of water. I went into the guest room, and placed it on the bedside table near Manyata. Quietly I walked out, and went back into my room. I was exhausted from today, and decided to go and have some sleep.
