lovely post Pocu,

as for me I have nothing against Abhishek or even mind him being in the show.

it's Akash that I have prolem with.

it's Akash that I do not and cannot connect with no matter how much I try to, his character as Akash is just not writing enough for my liking.

and for as long as his character as Akash stay away from Moniya he is so welcome to fall in love with JN...he can even move in with JN.

so Abhishek, if u are reading this I do not have anything against u cos I do not really know u that well other than what I have seen of u as Akash in DEK, I just don't like Akash.

Abhishek Rawat was awesome in Aagle Janam, but here his role is way too bland as compared to the colour and dash of Uday. And Manyata has definitely more chemistry with Uday.

it would have been played by Ashish kapoor and udayveer by abhishek than i think everyone would have been on the side of Akash and moniya .

Because abhishek as akash looks like uncle in front of moniya and gives me a horrible feeling i cant see them sharing the screen.

What about u guys?

Hey Sim, of course if sumone else would have potrayed the role of Akash...we would have liked the character, coz he seems way older than Manyata...but please don't say that if Ashish played Akash's role n Abhishek played Udaybeer's role...please don't say that...coz if that would have happened...we would be complaining that how could they cast Abhishek as a PRINCE...then also we would complain that the two actors should have played the opposite characters...

As far as my thinking goes...Ashish is perfect for the role of Udaybeer n he is potraying that character real well...as far as Abhishek goes...he is not the right guy for the character of Akash🤢

Abhishek is indeed older and has been playing mature roles, so he seems to miscast opposite M.

But by that token, J should've been played by a younger actor too, coz she seems to be of the same age as M if not a couple of years older. She definitely does not seem to be 3 years younger than M.

Similarly Unnzie seems to be older than UV and more mature. She definitely does not seem to be his younger sister.

We cannot say we dislike a character because he looks older or younger than the role he/she's playing. If we do then we must protest almost every serial we are watching these days, mustn't we?

Let's be more honest and say that the character of Akash seems insipid in front of the charisma and personality of UV. Ashish is doing an amazing job with his character, but he has an author backed role. Abhishek on the other hand is (Quite apart from comparison with UV) cast well as per his role. We did not claim that Abhishek looked older than M when UV was not on scene did we?

so true and i agree we did not complain then ..
i think topics like this makes viewers like us loose credibility in front of CVs who will think we are all about looks and nothing about talent and character depth
as u said yuvi has author backed role...though it should have been manyata who should get author back role but the actor's talent and his portrayal has made the role so charismatic..in my opinion its not about abhishek being misfit(i agree about no chemistry with priyal) its all about shallow character it is

I think the depth of the character of UV is what we all like very much. No offence to any actor intended... AK as UV is a perfect match. He is UV personified..

I dont think everyone would be liking Monash if it was potrayed by AK and not Abhishek. Both are good actors. For example : Everyone liked Abhishek as Shekhar in AJMBHKJ. It was a character so much suited opposite Lali /Ratan Rajput..

All in all, it is the character of M and UV and their wonderful chemistry and the chances of growth and evolution of the characters with each other that we like Manveer!!

Even if it was played by any other actor. Now that AK has personified UV so well, we cannot imagine of a better UV!!

though many wud not agree with u on this, i do agree with u..
yes i agree with those who say it is akash's character that does not appeal to them, seems boring, hence their dislike for akash as whole... but i firmly believe that wht we feel towards characters is heavily influenced by the actors that play those roles... the fact that ashish is playing UV is a MAJOR factor on the popularity the character of UV is getting - i hope many do agree with me on this... and if u agree on this point, u gotta agree on the point that had another actor, one with much more chemistry with priyal, and overall a much more younger looking hottie, played akash, then our feelings would've been slightly, if not totally, different about akash...
i do believe that, not ashish, rather someone like arjun bijlani or harshad chopra or ksg (:P) been playing akash, MANY of us would've been conflicted with whose team we were on... because, just like an actor can personify a character, and make it much more likeable and lively, so can an actor diminish the character, albiet unknowingly. abhishek has been wrongly cast as akash. and another actor playing akash MAY have definitely effected our views on akash... just like had any actor other than ashish played UV, i may not have found UV that endearing.. keep in mind guys, uv has been constantly "portrayed" as a grey character, nowadays toh total villain style... ashish's hotness personified plays a HUGE role in us liking him so plus, plus the mysteriousness and naughtyness of his character... it's a package that we like or not like, in every character, after alll.. :)
