she doesn't deserve to be treated like a trophy or a wild animal - yes we know that.

but the drama has JUST started.. thye story is JUST starting up.. u can't expect UV to be the perfect bf material from the very start - then what story will be there to show?

this story will be of moniya becoming princess manyata, falling in love with UV, and UV reforming himself in the process.. story ke shuru mein kaun perfect hota hai? even manyata is not perfect - she is a liar, she s not trustworthy, she blackmails ppl... she doesn't care abt her family, not even abt that father murari she always thought abt as her father - if she did care, she'd think of him atleast once, amongst all those majnu thoughts.😆

I respect everyone's opinion but I think the table would have totally turned on some of our opinions here if Akash was in UV's role and UV in Akash's. I am sure then many of us would have felt as though it was true love and one should go to all lengths to get his true love :)

I disagree with this bcos half the charm is the characterization of Udaybeer. He fits the role of the arrogant prince with shades of gray to a T. And I think this is one of the USPs of the show. If he were to be in Akash's place, still he would be saddled with a half baked character even though much better looking. The serial would be one of those rich girl poor boy type romances, that's all..

DreamyJennice has replied perfectly on this point, they have never laid a finger on her and they have taken the worst behavior and insults from her with a smile on their faces in the past. There are a lot of cases where families are against love marriages, so do we suggest to each of those girls or guys to run away from their homes, to 'teach' the families a lesson?😕

Disagree with you on this I think the actor who is playing Aakash is not bad looking at all. In fact he is also good looking.

I think you fail to see the point, UV has a depth to his character, while Aakash is one dimensional.

I don't and many of us do not feel that love coming out from Aakash to Moniya. The love looks forced and fake.

Why would you want her to go to that terrible life, while she can have anything she wants as a princess. All the power is in her hands.

Just so she can be with Aakash. You can not live your life carefree, you have to take responsibility.

Even if she went to chawl, she will have to be responsible of Aakash household as a wife. She will have to listen to his parents.

Do you really think Aakash parents are going to accept Moniya with out any family back up. I do not think so.

The way his mom behaved with Moniya before they found out she was a rajkumari was so terrible.

I don't think so. For me, its the combination of the character Udaybeer and AK playing the role that draws me in.
Ashish Kapoor is the perfect choice of a complex character like Udaybeer. So, I can't conjure up the image of him playing Akash. I feel Akash's character is not very powerful and it does not draw me in. Now, Ashish Kapoor's presence is very powerful. So if he played the role of Akash, I think it would be a waste of his talent, unless Akash was better written character.

But that's a moot point right now. To sum it up, Ashish Kapoor's killer attitude (not merely good looks) is why I love the serial, Udaybeer's complex character is why I can't resist him; but ultimately, the combination of the right lady-killer attitude and Udaybeer's more-to-it-than-meets-the eye character is why I noticed DEK in the first place.

Anyways, I have always had a thing for sexy anti-heroes.

Exactly it wont be the same. She will have to accept her status. Right now she is too young to understand anything. She needs her family more then Aakash.
