totally agree with you here.. since M considers Akash closest to her and trust him.. seems like he is the only one she listens to. he should be helping her with the transition, with settling and accepting the family as her own instead of instigating her and filling her head with crap.. is that how grown ups act.. they are supposed to be more mature and responsible and leave all the majnugiri..
he should've helped M to settle in her new life and tell her to stop arguing, yelling, taporigiri and putting the family into tough situations.. may be DS and others would've respected him

Great post!
There are things i agree/disagree with :)
Manyata has definitely put her family to shame. It was sad to see DS & Komal so disappointed. But i do not agree with the actions directed towards Akash- beating him up, putting him in jail. I feel that Manyata deserves to be punished, more than Akash. He only loved her & not committed a crime. Its true that he should not have sneaked into her house like that, but come on, Manyata was involved too. She also let him in & is to be blamed. Such harsh treatment, according to me, is not justified. But i guess they are royals...UV was rather vulnerable, as he let his emotions take over himself & he lost his calm, causing him to beat up Akash. I really hope that he will remain as an anti-hero & the CVs won't make him negative. You might not agree, but i felt that Akash was definitely potrayed to be a hero, in comparison to UV, based on today's episode. I'm not saying that UV is negative, btw. We know he is capable of being good. And i loved DS, because what she said is what we all have been feeling. Akash is not letting her move on & is dragging her back to her old life. So, i respect her for that & i am glad, she will be taking action in tomorrow's episode :)All in all, it was definitely a good episode. But it has left me confused as to who the leads are.

As soon as you say the word "Izzat" it summed everything up.
EVERYTHING.It doesnt matter if you're a girl from a Chawl, a lower or upper middle class family, and yes, even a royal: Izzat- meaning RESPECT, is the most PRICELESS thing a family holds onto through their daughters.Yes, it sounds cliched and perhaps holds a slight double standard: BUT it is a REALITY. Regardless of Money, status, power and language, or location: Any Indian will quote this as being a FACT.It is simply the reality of our culture: Ones daughter is like a badge of honor, and can easily bring the family to shame- example, the instance today with Akash in her room.Even in my family, where we've been born and raised in a "western" nation, these values hold TRUE for us as well. There is this EXPECTATION, UNDERSTANDING, and simple RESPECT that these boundaries must be maintained and followed.Thank you so much for pointing out this reality: A Family's Izzat through their daughter is BEYOND many factors- it is simple, timeless and universal. If only Manyata could have understood that. It's a shame that even through her apparent travels and vast expereince through India, she failed to see this simple principle which is as old as this nation. I don't know if it's a fallacy, or that puppy love simply causes one to lose common sense and respectability."Respect for one's parents is the highest duty of civil life."- Proverb
