She pulls me out of my room, takes 5 steps, stops, turns back, goes near my room and starts singing Jaadu Hai Nasha Hai, Madushiya Tijko Bhulake Ab Jao Kaha loudly. I see, I cushion hitting J square in the face.

J: Fine, hum jaa rahe hai (she again approaches me) Mom & Dad ki love story kaafi interesting thi na di?

You know di, hum bhi Karan ke liye aisa hi feel karte hai. Chalo, poore din mei kuch toh achcha hua, Mom & Dad ko saath dekh ke shayad aaj sabko neend aa hi jae.

She leaves me standing there stunned. Since when did people around me start reading me and my situation better than me! I really don't know what's up with everyone, there all have been handing me lectures after lectures. DS: Manyata, aapke dada saheb aur hum bachpan se ek dusre ko bahut pasand karte the, itna ki jab hun dus saal ke hue toh aapke Dada Sahab ne humme propose kar diya aur humari families ne bhi ye rishte accept kar liya. Jab hum 21 years ke hue to hamari unse shaadi ho gayi.

((Manyata, your Grand dad and I liked each other since childhood, so much that he proposed me on my 10^th birthday & our families happily accepted our relationship. We got married just after I turned 21))

We all go outside and DS informed us that Mom & Dad will be travelling in one car, Vijay Bhai & Jai in another while she & Menka Bua take the third

Komal: Manyata, ye raasta aapne chuna hai isliye aapko hi isse tae karna hoga. Mom was still not over Akash's misbehavior at our engagement. Well, I can't blame her because Akash had literally accused Mom of plotting to keep us apart infront of the media. It had been a hell of a day, I had barely managed to keep my temper in check. No one insulted my Mom and got away with it, NO ONE!!! I did the best to behave like a perfect hostess, did my best to control the damage done to the reputation of my family, threw Akash out of the door, blasted him off the next day and didn't talk to him for a month which was 2 months and Mom made it more than clearer that she didn't want to see his face but she was attending this marriage as it was like performing the royal duties for her. Finally, all the cars left one by one leaving me behind. As I walked towards my car, I saw my driver Kailash. He opened the door for me but I didn't want to get inside the damned car, I just wanted some time with myself so I chose the best alternative.

Me: Kailash, humme gaadi ki chaabi do ((Kailash, give me the keys of the car))

Kailash: Par Rajkumari ji, Rajmata ji ne humme adesh diya hai--- ((But Princess, Rajmata has ordered us to---))

Obediently, he puts the keys in my hand and closes the door he had earlier opened. I sat in the car and started it but just as I did, I realized that I didn't want to go to the wedding venue, not yet so I made my way to the place where I first met him once: The Beach. I made my way back to the car, I knew what I had to do but I don't know how to.

I knew I was late, almost 1 hours but I think it's worth it. I reach the venue and see everyone apart from Akash in an apprehensive state. He was dressed up in a white and red sherwani looking good as ever and was the first one to see me. His expression went from cheerful to shocked, then disappointed and the he was back to his cheerful mood. I was quite taken aback by his expressions but it had changed so fast that I thought I might have imagined it. Maybe I was reading more into something that didn't exist. And just like that I went my place at the mandap. What's wrong with me, my plan was to come here and break the thing off and what am I doing. I knew many started gossiping but I just didn't care, I felt like a lost puppy that had finally gotten home.
