He stood at the window, his eyes apparently looking at the twinkling stars dangling on the quiet night sky but in reality he was thinking on the events of the day.
She was laughing.
She was having a good time.
She was talking with not even a hint of rudeness in her tone and words.
She was like a bird...she was free.
And she wasn't with him!
No matter how cold and devilish his actions were, he was a human. And he couldn't help compare her actions when she was with him.
Her smiles were fake.
She felt like suffocating.
Her every word was like a war-cry.
She wasn't happy...
Then a long distant and oddly clear memory strikes in his mind.
She was with him, and she was laughing.
She was playing.
She was caring.
She was gentle.
She was just a baby but god! She was his!
Then a strangely genuine but heartbreakingly sad smile graces his lips.
"...and if I could..." he whispers to that wind who is the only witness of his loneliness. "...if I could..." he says again so that wind would know what he wanted it to know.
"If I could then I would turn back that time...and make those laughters stop be my reason of happiness. And I would wipe that smile so that my heart.would never melt. And if I could...then I would push you away everytime you came to me so that my walls always had a strong base..."
The wind panicked and its flow strengthened. What was he saying? It hit him hard and hurt his eyes to make him stop. He had to stop...he shouldn't carry on. Else he would deny his real existence...
"But even if I could..." he coontinued and the wind stopped its fearful rage to listen. "If I could do that...I would never stop myself from falling for you..."
The wind stopped and stared as his sad eyes turned away from the stars...and then it flew away. It knew what to do because it had always done that...it knew them better than anyone else...
It blew to her and kissed her sleeping eyes as she lay on that royal bed. The wind stayed there as a crease formed on her no longer relaxed face...then it flew away. Away it flew to tell no one about what had happened...it could keep a secret. It always had when it came to them...
But then...that lone star which was peeping from her window saw as her soul remembered the forgotten love which the wind reminded her. And the star half-laughed, half-cried as she restlessly turned on her side...
...and a tear slid down her cheek...
Lots of love...me.
