An OS is a oneshot, it mainly contains only one part. It can have more parts but not more than 3. The from 3 parts to 5-6 is an SS i.e short story..
FF is a longer story, there isn't any limit for how many parts/chapters you can write. It depends on your story. I would say the main difference is the lenght, and probably that an FF contains more characters than an OS.

@dewdropred... YT deletes all videos uploaded of indian dramas due 2 copy right issues, the only DEK videos u wil b able 2 watch r those uploaded by the channel themselves, setindia. if u type in Dekha ek khwab 23rd january 2012, they should bring up a search result of the whole epi n notice its uploaded by setindia...m @ work atm so cnt post u the YT link from here. sorri bwt tht.
