Every individuals have thier ups and down (strictly speaking about lovey-dovey/spousal relationships) ...it's upto individuals to mend differences or say downs and carry onn... but if they seek any kind of third party (including professional) help to make things works for them... thats it then and there...STOP SIGN... it's over. Do you agree?

Alarmed to see how people in today's world are more believer of counselling professionals rather then themselves to make a call or mend things. Lolss am sure you can say am back from India, never visited for past some years and am in cultural shock ...oopsy😆 .. rama oh rama😆, nothing unexpected tho..

Disagree

When youre in a situation, you cant be neutral or think out of the box necessarily.

It's good to have someone out of the situation give their impartial take on things which aids the affected person to perhaps see things from the other person's perspective.

Incidentally it doesnt need to be a counsellor - it could equally be a good friend.

In an ideal world, we would all communicate and misunderstandings would never arise.

But boy is that far from reality.

Fair enough!

Thats the whole point. There is no need to get into it, when one cannot broaden the horizons and think outside the box for thier own sake.

Finally one is involving a third person into a very personal, most scared relationship of u & me.Even if some third person gives his/her take, do people follow it solely? perhaps no...it's more appropiate to patiently analyse, step in each other shoes and do the best rather then getting external help, as things will keep coming and you cann't carry on with smooth relationship on 3rd perpective's mercy. 😊

Well, I think people should be able to talk things through and not involve other people into their problems be it some friend or a professional.. But in today's world.. most people find it hard to communicate with their partners.. there can be many different reasons so they seek counselling.. It might really depend on what kind of a situation it is and how big your problem is.. 😕

I believe that most people should try to solve their problems between each other. But that being said, most people end up yelling and screaming and never solve anything. That is why most of the times a third party is involved, to let both individuals listen to each other's problems.

Thanks for responses All!

Thats the problem alrigh, people yelling and not listening, how can this attitude change in longer terms, but at one time people will just give up, so lesson for people to not yell and hear it and do what is best for the relationship. Third person will be there or not, but finally it's upto THE two....and forget the third person

I can understand some ppl have a need for a 3rd person intervention. whatever works for them to keep marriage intact.!!!

In every mariage more than a month old, there are grounds for divorce. The trick is to find and to continue to find grounds for marriage. 😊

People should think and solve their own situations. But we live in the world where people have ceased to 'think' and thats why they pay people to do their 'thinking'. The world could do with less thinking, and couples could just plot to kill each other the old fashioned way. No couples, no babies, no population crisis.
