Another day picked for celebrating or appreciating or marking a special occasion.

For people in love everyday sharing the feeling of love is involuntarily importance then is day like valentine's day of any value?

Isn't it another reason to spend money on gifts etc?

Where is the value? get bunch of flowers whenever you feel with an handwritten note to loved one... it's invaluable anyday then why picking a particular date?

Valentine day as such is overrating as far as expression of love is concerned...and less to spend in money then feeling is real value...for that matter even marking particular dates/days doesn't count. No?

Yeah, completely agree with you. A person doesn't need a certain date and time to show the one they love how much they love them.

Besides, I think, it means more when a person does something romantic for the one they love on their own whim rather than because some overly commercialized holiday is coaxing them to do it.

There is nothing wrong with a day that celebrates love. Love is one of the most coveted and cherished of all emotions. Truly it deserves a day to celebrate it.

Ideally we shower our loved ones with affection everyday and show how much we love them. Let's face it though, in our fast paced lives we rarely take time to show affection. We are always taking the people in our lives for granted. In a perfect world everyday would be Valentines. But it is nice to have a day that really reminds us how lucky we are to love and be loved.

However, I completely detest the ugly commercial propaganda Valentine's Day has become. It is either oversexed or overdramatized for commercial value. Seriously, love is not about colognes, expensive dinners, lingerie, jewelry and all the crap money can buy. Love is a very special emotion, express it in your own very special way.

Finally there are so many different kinds of love. Valentine's day has become a romantic holiday, when the truth is there are all kinds of love, not just romantic love. So while you do something for your girlfriend/boyfriend - why not go tell your parents how much you love them. When was the last time you hugged your mom and told her how much you appreciated her. Tell a friend or a sibling that you miss them.

No one should feel lonely and unloved this day. Why not make sure every one in your life feels wanted and special, through a thoughtful reminded that you are there always thinking and caring for them. Is that not a completely refreshing perspective love and a better way to celebrated it.

We women are abit more sentimental😉😆

Like to be loved 😳 not only in heart. We need open expression with some flowers, chocolates and of course diamonds ....etc😆

Raj tum bhi na😆

It is not necessary for a special day for people in love, if you are in love every day is for love.

The latest heard about valentine's day is in Mumbai Valantines (foreign as well as natives) are for sale for rupees 30,000, most of them are students and aspiring models from well to do families.( Headlines Todaynews channel )😳😕😡

^agree.
it's the same people i see everyday on the street, college, or whereever doing what the same old thing they do everyday---being lovey-dovey and all smushy. 😆

I always believed you don't really not this day to profess your love or show it. I agree with the statememt made above.
BUt happy valentines to you all. =)
