Has anyone seen Benazir.B,Indira Gandhi,Priyanka or Sonia(when Rajeev.G. was assasinated) Mamta Bannerji,Jaylalitha,Mayavathi,Bhandaranaike, margret Thatcher or any other female leader...weep in public? They have won(and lost) very very tough elections several times .

they sure were/are strong women but were they all good leaders...am afraid not😊

saddam never cried in public ... did that make him a good leader?

i remeber our ex-president, hsankar dayal sharma, once broke down in the sansad and cried. i think the mps were fighting with each other and the atmosphere got really bad...not sure what exactly the issue was...but he wept and he was criticized for that. that was really not the occasion or place for him to weep as it was percieved as weakness.

on the other hand, nehru had tears in his eyes when lata tai sang ai merey watan key logon.....no one can find a fault there with nehru's tears.

i'd say that don't focus on tears blindly...look at the context too.

I am now trying to imagine kings, empresses, badshahs and other rulers having tears rolling down their cheeks, when their countries ware attacked,or listened to their subjects heart wrenching tales.... 😆.they are supposed to provide solutions and support and not cry!

IF in Public or courts or offices, the leaders themselves break down, how will that have an effect on the people they lead?😕

About Hillary..she is strong, tenacious, ambitious with great survival instincts..but uncommonly stupid.Had she not piggy-backed on her husbands back..and instead come up the hard way,she would have been stronger! She believed all along that the presidency belonged to her,and people will just hand it to her. Now she is at her wits end..

There is a very good chance that she will bounce back..by throwing dirt at her opponent and painting him black !! 😆 😆

not at all. to become a leader, you have to be strong and firm. maintain your stability even if you loose. that's the true leader. true leader have to display profesionalism and be adequate. without it, they lack the quality to become leader.

All are emotional...Leaders also humans...so I dont think its not a big probs.

Are women more emotional? Is this the reason for finding less woman leaders?

I dont think women are more emotional, women mentaly stronger than men...everyone cant be a leader, those who have some will power n guds, and know some tactics to handle the situations...that person can be a leader. 😉

Is being emotional is a postive quality

No ,Its not a postive queality. 😊

Do tears fetch votes?

Ya, may be....Depend upon situation..

Do you vote make a change in your vote when you see a contestant who sheds tears?(in reality and in reality TV shows)?

No... 😃 😉

i know every one is emotional at some point some how but for a leader, they don't show their weakness and emotion is person's weakness. leader is supposed to be a person who every one set as an example. they have to be strong and not delicate heart.

only emotional people can be good leaders... emotional people can empathize, relate and understand humans better than the ones who are just the cut-throat opportunistic types....

but emotional doesnt mean schmaltzy.. they should weep, sob at the drop of a hat.. which is why i dont want hillary to win - women cry for everything... men dont cry and hence they chances are they are stoic yet emotional... which is a strong quality....someone like liam neeson's character in schindlers list..... 😊 or like Gandhi. but Gandhi too far too difficult to emulate....

Good leaders choose the issue they want to lead based upon how much emotional they are about it

Good leaders then keep their emotions aside when executing their decisions all the while showing those emotions to their followers how passionate they are about the issue

Actually all leaders have been emotional people, whether you consider them to be good or bad

Is it about all types of emotions? If yes then it depends. I for one am against manipulative emotions

Exaggerating any kind of emotion seems sham but still I would take crying outbursts over manipulative emotions any day. Now whether crying was manipulative or not is debatable the same way when someone claims to have Bhagvat Gita, Bible and Quran on their shelf thus evoking another form of emotions. Who is to tell what is real and fake? So we go with our perception.
