Harsh punishment or eye for an eye type of justice for crimes of rape, murder or crimes against innocent children. 😊

I believe in Sham, daam, dand or bhed.

Eye for an eye or Phansi for ultimate crime towards innocents.

Agree , what do you think about crimes which may look trivial for eg theft , compare to the crimes you listed , however even such crimes have a potential to turn into anything serious.. for eg. Sean Taylor case, where murder intention was not there but robbery turned into murder.😊

Rehabilitation and reformation only works if the criminal himself truely wants to change his/her behavior. You cant MAKE someone change their behavior unless they themselves want it for themselves. On the other hand, harsh punishment instills fear of commiting the crime in the first place. I definitely think harsh punishment would be a huge deterrent and that if someone were afraid of the consequences of their crime, they wouldnt commit the crime or would atleast think twice before commiting the crime.
