It all depends on ur upbringing n from person to person. Its wrong to point fingers on any topic towards a community as a whole. 😊

i like that. i would also say that one family is not the representation of a community either.

moreover, it is so easy to judgemental and point fingers. did it hurt anyone to hear that some kid called the girl chocolate and licked her! that must have hurt her so much as a kid. it is NOT EASY!! they have a reason to be the way they are and those who judge them / their parents w/o knowing facts, are the real idiots.

Especially in this DNA age, where most Indian residents are faking American accent and forgetting their own language and especially culture, why should someone target NRIs for mockery? Wear those shoes and come back to comment - what i say. one finger pointed at the other points 4 at urself after all 😛

*How to go about getting our kids set up........*

Rajpat (father) : I want you to marry a girl of my choice

Son : "I will choose my own bride!!!"

Rajpat: "But the girl is Bill Gates' daughter.."

Son : "Well, in that case...ok"

Next Rajpat approaches Bill Gates.

Rajpat: "I have a husband for your daughter.... "

Bill Gates: "But my daughter is too young to marry!!!!!"

Rajpat: "But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank."

Bill Gates: "Ah, in that case...ok"

Finally Rajpat goes to see the president of the World Bank.

Rajpat: "I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president. "

President: "But I already have more vice-presidents than I need!"

Rajpat: "But this young man is Bill Gates' son-in-law."

President: "Ah, in that case..

That is how indians do business.
We can't change our circumstances but we can change our attitude.

I think most of NRI families abroad who have been brought up in extremely conservative families 😳and I know of boys/girls living in India who are extremely independant and liberal

This i agree with that even NRI families can be traditional in the whole no bf thing or going out late etc and some are liberal thats down to each family mines the first lol....in india most girls i see where i visit in punjab they get married really quickly after studies and very few love marriages compared to here. However i think in india there are women who work after marriage and look after family like abroad the main difference i found is they are not as career orientated but if you think about it education and job is what makes a person independent in my opionion because no matter what happens you capable of standing on your own two feet. As for manners etc i do think that nri girls are just as much as indian girls but one diffference that i found is that quite a few girls drink here and have a kind of a attitude they do not have in india which i like 😊. Overall both have negatives and positives but i love the uk since i get abit of both freedom think about my career etc more choice ...and asian culture and traits no offence to anyone am going on what i saw so not meaning to generalise or anything it was punjab so different to other citys 😛
