After so many debates on topics around law / politics etc trying to get general feel here...

Do we feel justice in India as of 21 century prevails without obstruction or still money can buy justice ? or atleast have things improved, can a common man expect justice without bribing?

Consider TADA case, Vishal Mahajan's case, Salman's case....

A common man can expect justice without bribing in any one of the two cases
1)If he has strong support of the Indian Media
OR
2) If the person against whom he is fighting the case isnst a High profile character

The problem here is that the common man cannot hire the best lawyers of the country who burn large holes through people's pockets... They have to make do with Public Prosecutors and Government lawyers who can ahrdly match up to their counterparts...
Prosecution Witnesses are happy to be bribed and they lie in court. That delays justice and a good number of times denies justice...

But there are cases where justice has been given- Manu Sharma's case (though an appeal is pending), The Tandoor Murder Case, Uphaar tragedy Case etc...

Otherwise... When we talk about India's judiciary, especially the Supreme Court, (with all its flaws and corruption charges against its judges)is one of the best things to happen to this country. The SC has played an important role in ensuring that India did not become a dictatorial regime. (Which India Gandhi had attempted to do via the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution). That is one of the main the reason why India did not fall into the hands of despots unlike how Pakistan did time and again.

Btw... which Salman Case? The road accident one or the Black Buck one??
