Watch the Video clipping to see the sad state of affairs of our War Heroes. The treatment they are getting from the Govt. of India for their bravery and selfless acts. In my opinion it almost amounts to nothing but insult on these heroes.

Sorry for some reason unable to view the news on podcast, neverthless I have views on questions you raised in general sense.
Is it fair that heroes who have served the nation selflessly get treated so selfishly? Should they get paid so little still when the rest of India and other heroes in other fields get a lot more monetarily?
Serving the nation is commendable but isn't it a profession too barring few who solely take up services for patriotic reasons. I wouldn't compare when it comes to fairness and heroes of other fields. If the monetary compensation is adequate to the funds available or within proximity of budget thenIMHO its fair.
Why this farce of paying respect with this stipend that cannot even pay their monthly rents?
Again not based on the news, if budgetting is a issue then yeah not right but if there are no available funds then what can be done.
The soldiers who put their life to risk saving us, should the government treat them so callously when their military term has ended?
Anyone joining forces is well aware of the risks involved, if looking at it from patriotic/emotional POV Govt should treat them better.
What type of post retirement incentives and perks would be appropriate for the valiant heroes in appreciation of their contribution in keeping India safe?
Really not sure but as I heard one of the incentives provided to service personells is accomodation, subsidized rationing, transport thrugh their term apart from monthly salaries. Am sure most of them must be opting for the job and planning thier retirement.
Actually have been thinking about this and had a questions (before I begin, I respect feelings and effort of country men in armed forces). It's a couragous act.
Q - When not in war? What are other activities are the men in army indulge in other then training? Do they get a chance to work outside thier job when there is no call of duty? Am sure the salary/perks while in service won't be so intimidating, extra income from side job would be welcomed and help save more for retirementt.
