In this era of Botox, liposuction, nose jobs, lip jobs, tummy tucks and face lifts what are your views on cosmetic intervention?

I would say its like 'morphing'. Unless its a medical need I am not in favour of it. Its deleterious to violate or infringe nature. More than a looks issue these surgeries reflect poor self-esteem, self confidence of the person.

1) Is it right to interfere with nature? if yes is it permissible only for people who have careers in the glamour world or for anyone with a low self esteem for his or her looks!

No, like I said above its absolutely deterimental. We have already started to experience the harmful effects of global warming this too shall follow suit.

Unnecessary cutting of body is harmful. These surgeries are primarily due to poor self image which need to be addressed at that end. The justification of glamour and gloss held less value than life itself. The desire to be part of glamour to be famous and rich is in itself a willful mindset. Nothing satisfies a person who goes for it becoz the images he/she chases keeps changing.

3) How far is too far...or you ok with dental whitening but against something like a liposuction or a nose job?

There are cases of dissatisfaction, repeat procedures, and still there is no guarantee of satisfaction? so where it will end? Do these surgeries guarantee better quality of life later on? Better relationships? More Happiness? No depression? The answer is NO. Its all about how we think. If the surgery goes wrong? who faces the repurcussions? can it be undone? So many celebs have undergone surgeries fron well known costmetologists which went wrong.

Dental whitening too shd not be taken to an extreme, the color shd match the natural color of the teeth. Here too if one brushes correctly & regularly this isnt needed.

4) If given a chance to go under the scalpel of the best cosmetic surgeon for free and guaranteed results would you veture into the painful world of makeovers...and what would you change?😃

No, I am happy the way I am.😃

All of us use something to enhance our natural self. Be it powder or cream or face-pack and then the expensive cosmetic augmentations like Botox, Rhinoplasty, and Silicon etc.

I am okay with it as far as it is done to suit oneself. I dread to see some of the horror faces like recent Koena Mitra, Tina Ambani in the name of cosmetic enhancement. Both had Rhinoplasty which went wrong and actually defaced them. On the contrary Bipasha and Aishwarya look better after having the cosmetic enhancements.

I don't think it is interfering with nature. I love dental whitening procedure and I think many people should actually use it esp. our actors SRK, Ajay Devgan, Sanjay Dutt etc.😛

I also have the opinion that repeated surgeries in the long run do more harm than good. So I pity those with cosmetic enhancement addiction.

I am okay with surgical cosmetics if it deals with health issues. Such as accidental face deformations, big breasts can sometimes harm spine, etc. The stuff that cost someone's life, can be changed.
But I don't believe in boob jobs, lipsuction etc. Because my theory is if you are not happy with yourself now, you never will be. Getting bigger boobs can hold attention of a guy for an hour, a day even an year; but would it ever be long term. It's all psychological; you are only as good as you think of yourself as. It's all about self-esteem, everyone is made different. You can't just borrow someone else's nose, face, lips or boobs to make yourself feel better. Most of these surgeries come out more hideous that the earlier version.
And half of the times these people get addicted to surgeries and that can cause lots of major health issues. Liposuctions don't last forever, they are straining your skin and cost a lot ( to top that off your face looks like a rubber band that is far too stretched and not very pretty looking).
Just my two cents on the issue!!!
