The topic here is do I think if she is a great leader, I have stated why I think of her as a great leader(and that is the only reason why I find her to be a great leader), obviously I do not find her to be a great leader due to the green revolution or emergency then why would I mention that😉

thats fine if u dont find her a great leader. but if u leave one or at the most two mistakes i think she was a great patriot. but the best acheivment i think of hers would be green revolution bcoz had it not been that we would have still been eating bad quality american food grains. it not only made india self sufficient but also made many states very rich. like this year india today's ratings punjab was on top.

next i would say her foresightedness to conduct nuclear tests which shocked the whole world.

What do you think of Indira?

I'm a big fan of Indira Gandhi! The book "INDIRA by Katherine Frank" made me a big fan of Indira...SHE IS THE REAL POLITICAL LEADER! I adore for her boldness...her vision...👏👏👏

Is she capable of being called one of the Great Indians?

Definetly! But she need not be compared to GOD Men and GOD women😛..she is a wonderful leader..India needs such leader now..😊

Your thoughts on the state of emergency?

What has happend has happend....we cannot do anything about it now😉...however cannot comment on it much😊

How did your viewpoint of Indira change during the Emergency (a lot of you were probably in your diapers then 😆, but how did your parents viewpoints change during this time)? My parents did'nt face any problems during emergency..they said..life was very proper..all the people performed their duties very punctually😊..

Who or what do you think she feared the most?

I respect, pity her.She did'nt get what she wanted .....she loved Feroz..he too loved her..circumstances and the human emotions...made them live seperate...may be she was alone....though theree were several men in her life.....in the role of father,husband,friends,Sons...May be Indira is not that harsh as she is assumed to be😊

Was she a good prime minister?

Definetly..thebest Prime Minister till date👏

I hate the (Nehru)Gandhi clan, but have to respect her for this, hate her politics, but in a time when we are hardly have any great Indian politicians, she is head and shoulders above others

well said but i would appreciate if you could answer the questions on the first page. 😊 same goes for qwerts and lighthouse. all my life i've had a biased view of Indira......from ppl who didn't like her. i just want to get differing viewpoints about her.

my post wasn't supposed to turn into a bhindranwale vs. gandhi debate....so i'd like to steer clear from that.

and thanks mythili_kiran for appreciating my post. 😊

I think she, mother Teresa and indra nooyi are the most salient examples which should make a todays woman proud to be one... And Sareg has brought out her strengths wonderfully.... 😊
