If you really donot know, then perhaps enlighten yourself first. Our Monkey God is very well respected and prayed throughout the world who follow Sanatan Dharama . it is the grace of our Monkey God that we are able to forgive brainless people who mock or take undue advantage of religion.

For Govt, historical value or not, it has our sentimental value so they should Stay away.

The same thing which happened to ancestors of gods of other religions.

Why is it OK for people to question existence of Hindu gods whereas anything related to other gods is chaste and factual?

can anyone tell me what exactly happened to our ancestors? I guess we don't exist then 😆😆 applying the same logic.

Read RAGHUVANSHAM :) atleast something sensible is jotted down in that as opposed to several myths and miracles we are taught to believe in 😉

ANCESTORS OF RAMA VOL- 572

Tradition has it that Rama was the ideal king, Gandhiji was only reinforcing it when he named his ideal state Rama-Rajya. Yet the predecessors of Rama, in his dynasty of the Ikshwakus, were as valiant and as benign as Rama himself. This story tells of their deeds.

The heroes of epics have their tragic flaws because epics always tell the whole truth. Like Rama, his ancestors also had flawed characters despite the glory of their personalities.
Inspired by the epic of Valmiki, Kalidasa wrote his classic poem Raghuvamsha. While chronicling the lives of the ancestors of Rama, it noted the decline of the ruling house also.

It is interesting to note that the Puranas trace the genealogy of Rama to the Sun. Some of the illustrious ancestors listed in the genealogy are Manu, Ikshwaku, Harishchandra, Rohita, Sagara, Bhagiratha, Ambarisha and Rituparna. Brihadbala, who fought in the Mahabharata war is said to be a descendant of Rama.

this is lucid information from amar chitra katha- not too heavy i hope

Karunanidhi ready to consider realignment of Sethu project
24 Sep 2007, 0001 hrs IST,T S SREENIVASA RAGHAVAN,TNN

CHENNAI: Embattled Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi said on Sunday he was open to considering realignment of the Sethusamudram project, and that his government's only priority was its implementation. "It's for engineers to decide on any realignment," he told newspersons here on Sunday.

Speaking further, the Tamil Nadu CM said the project should be completed on time and added that political demonstrations for the implementation of the Sethusamudram project would continue through out the state.

Karunanidhi was responding to questions whether the Congress leadership had put pressure on him to stop making any more "outrageous" remarks on Lord Ram, particularly in light of the fact that he had refused to respond to VHP leader Ram Vilas Vedanti's "dharmadesh" (religious edict) calling for his head.

Ruling out any differences with the Congress, the DMK veteran hoped nothing "adverse" would happen to his party's relationship with Congress and said there was no need for the Congress to talk on the issue "as the Sethusamudram case is with the Supreme Court."

In the process, however, Karunanidhi embarrassed his party subordinate and Union minister for shipping and road transport T R Baalu, for the minister had only the previous day said there was no question of realignment of the project and that the earlier remark made by Karunanidhi to this effect were "out of anguish to see the project through." Baalu, however, shot off a letter to prime minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday seeking action against Vedanti for issuing a "fatwa" against Karunanidhi.

"On behalf of DMK parliamentary party, I appeal to the government of India to interfere (sic) forthwith and take immediate action with a firm hand, so as to put an end to such unlawful, undemocratic provocative attitude of persons like Ram Vilas Vedanti, who is driven by religious fundamentalist forces, who have deep-rooted design to destabilise the country," Baalu said in his letter. Quoting media reports, Baalu pointed out "such barbarious (sic) and heinous threats on the life of our beloved leader have sent shock waves across the Tamil community and infuriated crores of Tamil people all over the world and unequivocally hurt Tamil sentiments cutting across party lines," he said. Baalu, in his letter, also said the atmosphere in Tamil Nadu was tense and surcharged with emotions. "Nothing should be allowed to develop into unmanageable turmoil leading to a flashpoint," he urged.

A lobby of mahants had publicly issued a religious edict to behead the Tamil Nadu CM for calling Ram a drunkard.😡 They'd offered to weigh in gold any person who would bring Karunanidhi's head to Ayodhya. 😉

The offer seems really tempting..😳..I mean, not the gold..😉
