That story is indeed shocking and sad.
Going stictly on basis of title of post as debateable topic. From ancient time irrespective of region / religion polygamy has been practised, in modern era there are laws restricting it. Retriction is only for some sections or regions. Now when it is legally allowed how can pactising polygamy be a crime? Secondly people are indulging in it from decades and having no concerns reason till date it's not completely illegalized. Toh by law untill unless forcefull, its not a crime.

I watched this on Dr Phil's show and Oprah too. It was the same thing about young girls in Colorado who are married to old men. They all lived in one house with so many moms, and a Dad and the oldest would be married and the youngest a new born They also spoke about how they were sexually molested.... by those horrible old men who were supposed to be their Dads or uncles. Even if their moms knew they could not do anything....cos they were dependent on this man for providing them.

It made me feel so sad cos those innocent girls were robbed of their childhood. 😕
